Very ease to use!
I just bought this to allow me to take photos through my small Celestron telescope. Previously, I had been trying to put my iPhone straight to the eyepiece with variable results (and scratching the eyepiece). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I attached it to the eyepiece and then attached my phone, which was simple to do. Adjusting in the X,Y,Z planes was likewise simple to undertake. After literally a couple of minutes up came the moon on my iPhone! I bought the version with the remote photo capture, and true to its promise it helped eliminate camera shake which had been a serious problem for me. I could take videos and photos all without touching the telescope or the camera. My only (small) complaint was that it was a little difficult to place my iPhone in the cradle, as the extension that is moved out to accommodate different sized phones was tight. Overall, the unit worked extremely well and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend spending a little more and getting the remote; you won’t regret it.

Buenísimo.
Este producto es genial, cubre todos los ejes. Latitud, longitud y elevación en cuanto al centrado del celular en el ocular del aparato a observar. Me gustó mucho. Super recomendado

Good But Hoping For BEST In Class
This is a truly universal adapter and it is generally well designed. However the vertical gear plate is made of plastic and the plastic carriage that rides on it are a bit loose. There isn't any easy way to tighten it up. The flexation will cause the phone to be slightly canted in relation to the eyepiece, introducing light (daytime use) and making it slightly more difficult obtain focus. For the premium price, I would expect no issues but there are some less than perfect materials and somewhat sloppy function. Still one of the best out there for it's adaptability.

Bendy plastic, you will need to shim it to correct for parallax errors.
Bluetooth shutter arrived with fully dead battery CR2032,... changed it and quickly discovered likely reason,.. it has no power OFF button, and to remove battery you must carry around a fine point Philips screwdriver,.. annoying. Battery should not be preinstalled, the screw is a captive button, so not easy to remove of the equation for fast long term storage with battery removed. Aligns "perfectly" as package states is a bit overreaching, it really depends on what you are expecting... this is made of plastic extrusions or mold casted you can see the bends under weight/loading at various of the dovetailed sliding sections. It provides no adjustment for tilt nor nod,.. which happens to be needed due to non stiff enough plastic material, so you get some parallax angle error. (Shimming sort of solves, but is not fast nor practical, as the amount of flex varies as you "zoom in/out") Is it a fair buy at the price point?.. I would say it is a great buy at 35-40usd. Probably my view is skewed as I happen to have on site machinist capabilities/materials and tools, so I can see the manufacturing pitfalls/shortcommings more than average user would care. Decided to buy vs make my own due to cost-time balance.. and it does come with the bluetooth remote shutter,.. I can't make that on the lathe/mill,.. Does it hold the phone steady? Yes, much more than bare hands. So,.. if 60 bucks don't hurt your wallet at all,.. then it is an excelent buy. What about vs the 20 usd designs with no 3rd axis? Well if your application doesn't need frequent zoom in out for focus change,.. just get a cheaper one and shim the phone on the mount, save 40usd. A pitfall on all these telescope/microscope items is to not provide sturdy casings for storage/care with the item itself,.. people buy tools of this nature and expect to later transport them in airplanes and for them to be part of the inheritance one leaves behind, carboard boxes are cheap and convey a message of cheap quality contents.

Works great. iPhone 12 pro
Not sure why people complained about it not fitting the IPhone 12pro. It fits perfectly and mine has a classic otter box that in thick. Takes a sec to get adjusted. The 3 axis is the way to go. So I just found I did not complete this review and now I have a 17 pro max which is bigger than the 12 Pro. I love this mount. I have very expensive Astro cameras by ZWO but when I am using my telescope to just do visual I can just slap the phone on and get incredible 4 k photos and video on the fly

High marks but surprisingly, not my favorite!
I tested 4 different phone attachment devices and this one (in my opinion) came in a close second to one made by Accuview. I think both are very capable and this one has some benefits that might tilt your decision in it's favor. The most important positive for this one is that I found it insanely easy to use. Insanely. Easy. To. Use. The co-axial X-Y knobs were fantastic and the Z knob worked as desired. At first I thought the claw shaped clip would be a big negative but once the "safety clamp" was tightened down it was remarkably stable and it gripped solidly. The other pro is both a plus and my one negative - the whole unit is made of plastic. This means it's much lighter than a similar unit made of metal but it may not be as durable. A usage note - If you're looking for a phone mount like this you really must also have a remote shutter release device or you'll be fighting "the shakes" at every picture.

Not Quite
I should have tried this prior to the return window closing but it is what it is. There are a ton of flaws with the Celestron, which I have tried to highlight in the photos. First, the stability is subpar when connected to your device (a Leupold SX-4 Pro Guide 65mm) with an iPhone 14 Pro. After tightening the clamp and securing the screw, there was a lot of play and movement occurring. The XYZ Axis customizations is a good idea with horrible execution. This is mainly due to the fact that you cannot adjust the Z Axis close enough to the eyepiece (ocular lens). The clamp hinge is directly in the way (see photos of the orange piece stopping the phone holder from adjusting closer on the Z Axis). The way the iPhone camera lenses are set up, you need to adjust the X Axis too far to the right for this holder to function properly. After an hour of messing around with the Axis adjustments, it broke. The ocular lens clamp separated from the track. It is being held on the track by a small piece of plastic and secured by two small side screws. You can piece it all back together but it’s not worth it. Overall, this is an overpriced piece of junk. It’s going in the trash. I ended up going with a new magnetic solution that is twice the price, but SO worth it. No use in fiddling this much in the field to get something to function properly.

High quality
The xyz celestron phone adaptor is quality built. Was able to mount securely both an iPhone 7 and se on the adopter with no problem with their protective cases on. The three adjustments in xyz allowed easy alignment to my eyepiece. Personally, I found it best to connect eyepiece on adapter before inserting into telescope and then fine adjustment for final alignment and focus. Over all a well engineered piece of equipment. The remote Bluetooth camera button linked with no problem, just hold down remote button for 5 seconds to connect. More expensive than competition, but worth it for a well engineered xyz adapter.

Absolutely Just what I have always wanted in a smartphone Telescope mount
I Had been looking at those new smart camera telescopes on market , Dwarf 2 and the pricier proper Apo lensed ones, But this Has turned my portable 60mm into a remote viewed decvice via streaming inside a cosy car out up a hill in winter etc , The ability to use 3 axis with the holder and the scope is awsome Celestron has done it again for those who want to get into astronomy but always thought it was expensive this is deffo an alternative for those who want to get into astrophotography

Tolle Halterung
