Why does this filter need replaced after 6 months if i haven't used much water?

Hi,
Thanks for your interest in our CF filter. Please note that the filter will be full of water all the time after initial use. So in order to ensure the water taste and quality, it's recommended to replace the filter every 6 months, especially if you don't use much water, which gives bacteria a better chance to grow inside the filter.

I’ve tested the water after 6 months and it’s ppm is still good and there is no detectable bacteria so why do I need to change it?
