DSD TECH SH-G01A USB Isolator with ADUM3160 Chip 12M

It worked flawlessly. Adding it before my AudioQuest Dragonfly Black instantly eliminated one big source of audio noise. It didn't touch the noise that isn't coming over USB power, but I didn't think it would. Note that this only provides a little bit of power. It's enough for my Dragonfly, but won't power more energy hungry devices. The only down side is that the isolator and my Dragonfly are both hard dongles so they made a big lever when I plugged them directly into my USB port. I didn't like that so I added a flexible 6" USB extension cable.

I had a ground loop burn out a $1,200 computer based oscilloscope. I bought this and a new PC based oscilloscope and now use this to isolate the PC. No more smoke! The isolation voltage rating of this unit is very impressive which is very important in my application.

This worked initially. Did what it was supposed to do, then stopped working altogether. I confirmed the problem is the isolator, light is on but anything plugged into it cannot communicate with the computer. I tried other USB ports. No help. Devices plugged directly into computer USB work, so it is definitely the isolator. Contacted the seller. Will see if they make it right.

I bought this to eliminate additional noise that was created when connecting an audio/MIDI device to my computer through both USB and audio output. It completely eliminates the noise.

We were getting some background noise when playing MP3 audio from PC during worship services. We use a Behringer UCA 222 external UBS audio interface; we were getting noticeable computer noises like a hiss when unmuting sound board. Placing this USB isolator between the PC and audio interface eliminated the hiss.

Brought the usb c version as the data speed of this one will not be sufficient for audio.

Tried using as a ground loop isolator between my USB turntable and Windows 11 laptop. Should have worked given the ADUM3160 chip, but didn't for whatever the reason. So I am returning it.

This USB isolator is working fine so far with my Hantek 6022BL. Without an isolator the Hantek shares a common ground with the computer, but with the isolator the ground is separate. Just what I needed!

I had a hum which was caused by a USB 2.0 Zoom audio interface plugged into my desktop PC. I plugged this USB isolator into the PC and plugged the USB interface into it, now the hum is gone and the audio is perfectly clean.

Fonctionne pour isoler une carte son USB et avoir moins de bruit parasite venant des composants PC - surtout dans des enceintes actives comme j'ai. Il reste un léger buzz, qui vient des enceintes elles-même et de leur relation avec la prise de terre, mais dans mon cas 95% du bruit parasite venait de la carte son. Et ce bidule corrige ça. Super.
