This ball is perfect for muscle release and recovery. It does everything a smaller ball can do, but there are times where the smaller ball does not allow enough distance between your body and the wall or the floor. The 5 inch ball lets you get into muscle areas like the pectoral muscles without smashing your face into the wall or ground. It's light but stong, and the texturing gives enough of a grip plus variety of pressure points. Money well spent.

This is basically a light weight, hard foam ball. It doesn’t deform much so be ready for increased pressure on your soft tissue. I like it over a foam roller because it does tend to do a better job of releasing tight muscles, but I definitely feel a bit sore afterward. It can also get after muscles like the psoas that the foam roller can’t really hit. The surface doesn’t lend itself to staying in place under you on a carpet or hard floor, so don’t be surprised if you have to readjust it’s position.

This exercise ball is everything that was described, I cannot hold my personal preferences against the seller or manufacturer. This is a very hard ball that has no give at all. I was wanting something to use for my spine but this ball is too aggressive. The square patterns all over the ball catch really hard on your skin or clothing and combined with the firmness it is just too aggressive to provide comfort. If you have back issues like I do, and your hips are really tight all the time, and your IT band is tight all the time and your lower back is always sore, then you’ll need this for your IT band, your hips and your glutes. It’s brutal while you’re using it but it feels good because you’re releasing that tightness and stress.

It is round and harder than expected. You could probably use something from a toy shop or a plumbers merchant for a tenth of the price. However, that said for rolling the hip flexors and pecs it is hard to beat. Foam Roller too big, lacrosse ball too small. But $30? Come on……

This has helped relieve leg pain that I've been struggling with for several months. I tried foam rollers and other therapy balls but the balls were just too small to get deep into the tissue. This is the perfect size and density. So glad I decided to order it. It is now one of my most treasured therapy devices.

This thing is such a life saver. I have really bad knots in my back and shoulders and it really works them out. When I first started using this ball you can stand against a wall and lean/roll into it, or you can roll around the ball in bed. Now that my knots are a bit better I find that rolling around with the ball under me on the floor provides a lot more pressure.
