Very eye catching and good conversation starter
I bought this for myself and put it together at work during a highly stressful time when I needed to take a break. The directions for this are very clear, and the pieces are well labeled. That said, there are a LOT of little tiny pieces. Even though I have very large hands, I was still able to work with the pieces carefully. Some pieces would fit together very snugly, but a number of rails were a loose fit and would easily fall off when bumped. This made parts of the assembly a little difficult (such as having four pieces connected to each other and trying to fit that group to the main assembly body while having loose pieces fall off). A little dab of glue will help to alleviate that issue, but be careful not to over do it. There were a couple of instructions that I did out of order as it made it easier to assemble, but for the most part the instructions are good. The tiny wax bar you have to use to wax the wooden gears was a pain to use on each gear tooth. I would have liked a better way to do that, perhaps if there was a wooden dowel to attach the wax to instead of trying to hold the bar itself between my fingers and hope to fit it between the gear teeth. Once done though, I received numerous comments about the piece and have had many people stop by my office just to see it run. Occasionally a marble will jump certain tracks, but over-all it's a great piece and was fun to put together.

Really fun, mid-range difficulty
Awesome! Took two days to assemble. A-17 is the hardest part for some reason to get to stay where it needs to and breaks easily, but glue will fix it. Make sure to pay really close attention to which direction everything should be facing during assembly and work slowly. My kids really enjoy playing with it!

Very nice set, hard to put together
This is a very well designed set of good quality. However, putting it together is quite difficult and it is well nigh impossible without breaking some pieces during assembly. So, have super glue handy! I had to make a few adjustments to the tracks to get the balls to travel the way they are supposed to. But now it works beautifully and I play with it all the time. It looks lovely and is well worth the price. Just be VERY PATIENT and have a hobby shop at your disposal.

Excellent design! My kids and I followed the instructions and it came together really nice!
I'm impressed. I dont often right reviews or do videos but I have to give this make credit for an outstanding design. I had low expectations and hadn't built anything like this before and just figured that it would be sloppy and junky because it's wood. Putting it together I came to admire how much detail it takes to design a kit like this so I have to applaud them ROKR! Sure there are delicate parts and that's part of the fun of a kit. The instructions were easy to follow and it was a super fun experience with the kids. I agree with the 14+ by the way it takes good finger dexterity and strength.

Works as shown, some assembly issues
So the end product is fine. It works as shown and I enjoy it (baring the occasional balls stopping on the track). However I have some issues with the instructions. They weren't always clear. I wasn't able to get any of their assembly videos to come up. It's not until you're 2/3 of the way done that you get actual instructions on how to use tool D4, despite needing it much earlier. Not being told how to use this directly lead to a piece breaking. Fortunately I was able to sand it and glue it back in place. Which was a 30 minute ordeal due to how precisely it had to be positioned to work. Now there are some spare pieces already included which was quite nice. It let me experiment with some of the less clear instructions without having to worry if a piece broke. Unfortunately the one I actually broke didn't have a spare included. So when I had inquired about getting it replaced (before I knew if I'd gotten it positioned correctly or not) I was told it would be $5 to replace it. One piece. When this kit costs $55. So it's almost 10% of the cost to replace one piece. This was a first. When I've needed a replacement piece in the past I've never been charged. So be careful before buying and decide if you're willing to pay if you have to replace a piece or two. Update 05/18/23: just received a package in the mail with the part I'd broken. Too bad I was never contacted about this as I would have advised I no longer needed it. It arrived 2 weeks after I finished this kit so very slow response time. It also makes me wonder why they ask for payment if they're just going to send the piece out anyway. Seems a rather underhanded way to get more money.

Works beautifully
This kit is amazing. When we first opened it I noticed the precision with which each piece was cut and how easily they pop out of the sheets. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and working on it as a family project we spent a few days getting it done a little at a time. It amazed me to see how smoothly the gears thurn and effortlessly carry the marbles back to the top. Some care needs to be given to not snap small parts but we made it to the end without incident. Now this is an amusing piece to have around and remember the time spent enjoying puting it together as a family. Definitely recommend.

Takes your careful attention to assemble. Lots of fun watching it operate!
RoWood Marble Run 3D Wooden Puzzle I think is worth the cost. I looked at other 3D mechanical puzzles. Even ones rated very high had various problems. Those puzzles were not terrible but I wanted to have a completed project that worked well. I did have a problem at the end. One ball lift gear would not work correctly. All I did was go back to the instructions and review the steps for that part of the project carefully. I found the problem and made the fix. Now the machine works great! I had a good time putting it together. I assembled it over a few weeks in between other things. The instructions were very complete. Be careful to look at ALL instructions and not make assumptions on the assembly. The parts released from the wood/plastic boards easily. A few required a little help from a utility knife. Overall I am happy with the Marble Run.

In places very fiddly and easy breaks. Would not purchase again.

Sehr anspruchsvoll an Fingerfertigkeit und Deutung der Anleitung.

Product came as described. My fat fingers were able to assemble it pretty well. I broke one piece that needed glue to fix, and just plain could get one other spacer piece to fit, but the thing works well once it's assembled. It's going to be a great "desk distraction" in the office. Take your time, read ahead in the instructions, and make darn sure that you fit things together tightly before moving to the next step. My biggest headaches came when fitting pieces onto the board near the end, when I didn't take the time to fully press everything in.

Fun to put together. I have never put a puzzle or model together before so it took some time to put together. Finished in about 10 hours. Had 3 pieces left over that were not mentioned in the instruction book, however it didn't seem to matter, with the finished project. only a few pieces were hard to put together, otherwise (with the help of u-tube ) they finally found their home.
