This is a replacement projector lamp. It does exactly what it's supposed to. I love it.Seriously: pretty easy to install. I got 7200 hours out of the one I replaced (they are rated for 3000 hours) so I'm hoping for similar results this time.

I spent an hour trying to put the lamp into the projector, pulling the lamp assembly out, inspecting it and then reinserting it into the projector. I finally realized that one of the alignment holes was too small. I had to change lamp housings and then inserted the assembly into the projector. The lamp worked, but not lamp housing. Not a direct replacement for Hitachi projector and will not purchase this lamp again!

I ordered 2 lamps one arrived broken in its package which I returned. The other would not fit into my projector. The lamp housing would not fit properly into my projector. I had to disassemble the new one and remove the lamp housing and remove the bulb and replace the burned out bulb into the old lamp housing I presently have.

Completely satisfied.
