Amazing product
Amazing product, feels and sounds real. The kids did not even care it's not real. Ages 2-7 played for so long. The brushes are very soft and the makeup has different taxture which is pretty cool. Highly recommend it.

She Really Was Born With It!
This is a great product! I love that my daughter thinks she is putting makeup on her face, goes to the mirror, and comments on how beautiful she is. Little does she know, she doesn't have anything on her face, it's just natural beauty! I got these for my two year old daughter that has been very interested in taking my makeup, and wastes it. Real makeup tends to be on the expensive side, especially if you shop at places like Sephora, and kids waste a lot of product when they play with the real thing. It is because of that, I feel the price of this was great. You pay once for something that will last until it breaks or the child realizes it's not real, which shouldn't be an issue for a little girl with a big imagination, and I cannot imagine most of these breaking anytime soon. The plastic that holds the foam makeup is very good quality! I was actually surprised because it reminds me of the packaging on real makeup. The brushes are nice too, they're soft. I'm also really glad that a makeup bag is included, it makes keeping everything together easy. The nail polish bottles did break pretty fast, but my daughter didn't care for those much anyway. So it wasn't that big of a deal. The only thing I don't like about the makeup is that my daughter seems to have a hard time figuring out how to open them. She is great at opening things, including actual makeup products, so I just wish it was a little easier to open.

Great pretend makeup kit
This was the perfect pretend make up kit. I purchased the 12 piece set for my 3 year old (almost 4 year old) daughter and she loves it. The pieces look very realistic - especially the compact powder. The pretend nail polish has real brushes. The sparkly pieces are especially a hit. (They are a bit hard for her to open on her own.) Even the lipstick isn't just a piece of hard plastic but has a very slight squish to it to make it feel real. If your child is hard on her toys and drops them a lot, I can see how the lids of each make up piece could eventually break (just like real eyeshadow that we drop may cause the lids to break), but overall I think everything is very well made and looks very realistic. The 12 piece was just the right amount - not too many pieces to get lost all over the house. The bag is solid on one side and mesh on the other so she can see what is in her bag. And she can carry it around like a purse. Overall, I highly recommend this line and would purchase again. It's totally high enough quality to give as a gift.

So adorable!
We got this set for my daughters 2nd birthday to go with her vanity set and dress up stuff we also got her. It is such a cute little set from the photos that they have and we chose this one over several others based off of the price and the quantity of items that comes with it. It does not disappoint. It is so very cute in person and she absolutely loves it. She likes to play with her cousins vanity and she tries to play with the play makeup she has but we don't let her. I feel she is a little too young even if it is just play makeup and daddy agrees. So this is a nice compromise for everyone all around. She doesn't notice that it isn't real or she doesn't seem to care either way. The quality is very good and it really is very cute in person. I love that the nail polish actually opens and the brush is soft so she can actually โpaintโ her nails. The brushes are also soft and sparkly pink. All the makeup is cute and very sparkly and the lipstick is great because you can actually twist it to bring it up like a real one. Overall it is a great set, we love it, she loves it, and my 6 year old even wants her own set and she knows it not real so I guess we will be buying an additional one. Added bonus, she is very adorable putting on her makeup and i think she could teach me a thing or two! :) Edit: The nail Polish brush part inside the top comes apart easily so you have to watch out for that.

A gift for my daughter
I purchased this Pixie Crush pretend play makeup set as a gift for my daughter's second birthday. Every time she sees me put on chapstick (she calls it lipstick), she wants to put some one. So this was a perfect gift for her birthday. The nail polish lid comes off which is great because I have seen other companies sell pretend nail polish that doesn't open, which defeats the purpose of pretend play. I did purchase another pretend play makeup set by FAO Schwarz. My daughter loves the FAO purse that came with that makeup set and carries it every where. However she plays with the Pixie Crush cosmetics. I feel the Pixie Crush set is more realistic than the FAO set. The FAO purse is so adorable because it is a real purse. The Pixie Crush set comes with a cosmetic bag. I would recommend this set!

Fun for "pretend" play!
I'm giving it 4 stars, since it's a gift for my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter. I don't know how it will wear.....very CUTE & realistic makeup kit, it feels real! Should be fun when she wants to put make up on her daddy, because now she can and he won't be all colored up! She loves real makeup and knows the difference, but for times when we play "pretend" , this is the best. As others have noted, take all the make up, bag and brushes out of the plastic packaging and let them air out. They do have a strong chemical smell, but with airing them out they are fine now.

My granddaughter applied polish like a pro, with no worries about carpet or upholstery ruined.

Everything is empty, no "pretend", just a bag with junk.
