Please read and watch video. Worth the price. Love these blinds
It’s hard to find the time to write reviews, but this time I have to because I love these blinds and I want others to feel confident in their purchase. YOU WILL LOVE THESE BLINDS I promise. BEFORE THESE BLINDS I used to have Venetian blinds on this huge window. They were heavy to pull the strings to open them, a pain to close them, so I had them closed most of the time completely missing the great view from that window. Even when closed, they let to much light in for my baby’s nursery. I knew I wanted something (1) blackout (2) easy to operate open and close (3) minimalistic looking (not an eyesore). These new blinds were exactly that. I cannot tell you how happy I am. When open, they look like part of the window frame. So minimalistic, clean, simple. I can finally enjoy the view from this window and all the light. With the push of ONE button I can close the blinds. They come down quietly, softly, slowly (but not too slow, don’t worry) and you get 95% darkness. On my video I have the lights on because it was a gloomy day and I wouldn’t be able to see a thing. Otherwise, very dark after closing them. Then with the push of one button you can open them again. They offer sidetracks to cover the light gap between the wall and the blind. I measured perfectly and they delivered the exact measurements, so I am very happy to say my gap is minimal, but this is a big window that gets a lot of light, so I wish I had gotten the sidetracks. I do not know what they look like, so I cannot speak about that, but when I order again (you bet I want these all around my house now) I will get the side tracks. I did get the solar panel and I love it. Otherwise you need to plug it in and that doesn’t look as neat. When you get the solar panel, you still have the option to plug it in. You can get a bridge and get it working with Amazon Alexa. I use Alexa for everything and have one in this room, but I have not gotten the bridge and I don’t think I need it because seriously you can open and close these blinds with the touch of a button. I am not one to dislike made-in-China products, but I get why people might sometimes distrust the quality. I promise you these blinds are worth it. They did take longer than expected to get here, so I contacted the company and they refunded the shipping cost. I am very happy they did that. I was so ready to not like these blinds, but I absolutely love them.

Amazing blinds!
This is my 3rd order from Yoolax, bringing our total to 7 blinds, and I couldn’t be happier with them! My first 3 blinds were purchased in December 2023, and I have absolutely loved them. They have worked perfectly and have never given us any problems. They are the V Series with the remote control and solar panels that recharge the batteries, which makes them so convenient. The blinds were also very easy to install. I especially appreciate Yoolax’s customer service. They contact you before making the blinds to confirm that your measurements are correct, which gives you extra peace of mind that everything will fit properly. I highly recommend Yoolax! I have been very pleased with the quality, convenience, installation, and customer service. I’ll definitely continue purchasing from them! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great shade, tricky brackets, excellent customer service
I’ve had this shade for four months. It is in my bedroom, so I use it daily. I wanted a motorized blackout shade for my bedroom, and this one looked good and was reasonably priced. I decided to buy one and see how good it was before getting a second one for another room. Overall, the shade is very good. The material looks nice and it blocks the light well. The remote's basic functions work fine. (I haven't tried its timer features.) The motorized operation works well, and the battery lasts a long time. I had some issues with the mounting hardware and the light blocking brackets, but the company has been extremely helpful in addressing those concerns. I'll see how things go for a few months, but I'll likely buy a second shade for my office. Tips / Lessons Learned: I'd describe the process of mounting the shade as tricky rather than difficult. Mine was about 5 feet wide. It's not very heavy, so I could handle it alone. They included four metal brackets, and they even included screws with drywall anchors. I was mounting into a wood casing, so I used the screws without the anchors. Installing the brackets was simple in that I just had to drill a pilot hole and screw them into the casing. The tricky part is that the brackets are designed to clamp onto the edge of the metal shade housing with tiny (maybe 1/16”) spring-loaded hooks. One has to be careful to ensure the brackets are aligned properly. I found it difficult to get the hooks to clamp on to the shade, and it's hard to tell if it's securely attached. The shade has crashed to the floor twice. The last time it left a big divot in the wood windowsill. That was frustrating, but upon reflection, I think most of the blame for that rests on me. I made an adjustment to the brackets and I think it's more secure now. Despite falling twice, it still works, so props to them for durability. I do think they could come up with a more foolproof mounting solution. Take your time to get the edges of the brackets to be flush and be careful to get all the hooks to engage. It may help to have a second person when doing that. I had to do it alone. The second issue is some light bleeding around the sides and bottom of the shade. I ordered the plastic side brackets that are supposed to help block the light around the sides. They come with self-adhesive magnetic strips to mount them on the window casing. Before I do that, I’m using painters tape to test different positions of them. They do help block some light. I got white ones to match my window casing. I realized the white surface may be reflecting more light, so I tried putting some black gaffer's tape on the inside of a section. It made a noticeable difference (see photo). I'll do that to both brackets. Any remaining light bleeding from the sides should be negligible, and I may add curtains that would block any remaining light on the sides. Maybe I measured the length wrong for the bottom, but the shade doesn't reach the windowsill. Either way, the company is sending me another bracket for the bottom that should take care of that. Again, if I add curtains, this won't be an issue.

Great Blinds at a Great Price
I love these blinds. The material is good quality and the physical installation was straight-forward. I measured correctly and my room is almost completely blacked out (I opted not to get the side pieces that help with it further). There is some light around the sides and top, but very little. The only real "downside" is that the instructions for the smart system are pretty basic. I opted for the P440 motor which connects directly with certain supported Amazon devices. Make sure that you verify your device is on the list, as I mistook the Echo (4th Generation) for the Echo Dot (which is not supported, at least not directly). Once I purchased a correct device, I was able to get the device to sync. Anyway, to sync the device with the Echo, you have to press a button 3x rapidly, and then hold for 3 seconds and the motor will jog, indicating you did it properly. You then say "Alexa, discover my devices". This step took me multiple tries and I eventually powered off the blinds (and somehow accidentally reset the settings on them). Once I did manage to get my Echo to connect to them, I had issues with the voice commands as well. While the instruction manual said I should say "Alexa, open/close the blinds", Alexa responded that the device did not support that command. However, I was able to say "Alexa, open the blinds to X%" (0 being fully opened, 100 being completely down) and that worked. I eventually added custom commands in the Alexa app under the routine option for opening and shutting the blinds (and now I can say "Alexa, open the blinds"), as well as a custom routine to close the blinds at sunset. You will need to set commands in the Alexa app, as there is no actual functions shown (unlike on/off for lights and other devices). All-in-all, I find them a great value for the money, just make sure you are somewhat tech savvy, as the syncing with Alexa is a little difficult. The remote worked immediately for me and is pretty simple, with an up/down/stop function.

Great blinds at a good price!
First of all I would like to say that these are very nice blinds for a fraction of the price of more well known brand name motorized shades. Things I like the most about these shades. 1. Seem to be well made 2. Option for the solar panels to charge them is a game changer in my mind. Just hang them and never worry about the battery running low - I highly recommend taking advantage of this option. 3. Remote control came preprogrammed for all my shades. This was super helpful for me and I had the 4 shades up and working in less than 30 minutes. 4. Google and Smartthings integration is awesome. I can tell my blinds to go up and down whenever I need them to. I opted for the blinds that didn't have Alexa integration built in bc this is a Google home but if you buy a Bond Bridge you will have no issues integrating to Smartthings and Google. 5. They have worked almost flawlessly for the 3 months I have had them up. I say almost bc every once in a while one of the blinds won't go up BUT I am not sure if that is the Bond's fault or the blinds but it is almost certainly an issue with the RF command not quite making it to the blinds. It happens so infrequently though to really made a fuss over. 1 negative is that the blinds are pretty loud (especially when 4 are going up/down at a time) BUT this is clearly disclosed in the buying process that these aren't quiet blinds. I think they might have a model that is but I didn't want to kick out the extra cash for the quiet and honestly the noise doesn't bother me but I am not an easily annoyed by sounds type of person so take that as you will. Overall, these blinds have been great! At this point I would highly recommend those on the fence to go ahead and make the purchase. I had some reservation about quality with them coming from China but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with their customer experience and the quality (top notch). Go ahead and make the purchase and save some cash and still get a great product!

GREAT blinds and customer service!
I ordered these blinds with a bit of trepidation because they were an unknown company to me. My fears were unfounded. They arrived on time (you might want to expedite delivery as they come directly from china) and were made accurately to my specifications. The packing was substantial and it survived the trip admirably. Physical installation of the blinds was a snap, thanks to the clever mounting brackets. They fit my opening perfectly. I did have some trouble with the remote BUT (and here comes the good part): Yoolax sent me a new remote immediately after I emailed them. They contacted me via WhatsApp video call and assisted me in setting up the new remote to work with the blinds. This help was invaluable. They work flawlessly! One thing you should know is that the blinds do not work with Alexa (or Google) out of the box. You need either a bridge (like Bond, which I have), a yoolax bridge (available from yoolax on Amazon), or a 4th generation Alexa device. With this you can operate your blinds by voice or by automation - through Alexa routines or the schedule function in the Bond app. This may sound confusing, but it really is fairly simple and it all works very nicely. My blinds go down 10 minutes before sundown and up in the morning at 7:30 I am very pleased with the blinds and have ordered another. I probably will not need any additional assistance from Yoolax, but it is a comfort to know that they (and Michael) arer ready to help if needed.

Good product but setup is a nightmare
I have a lot of very large windows in my house which makes it difficult to open and close all of my blinds manually each day. I have them paired with an Alexa and set on a schedule so they open each morning at sunrise and close with a voice command at night. Now that they are set up I’m overall pretty happy with them. They look and work as well as similar brand name brand blinds that are double the price. The only issues are that sometimes when using voice commands, only some of the blinds will close and you have to repeat yourself several times, and that there is a small gap between the edge of the blind and the edge of the window so they’re not really suitable for places where you need complete privacy. The biggest issue I had with these though was the setup. I did eventually get these all functioning but it was pretty unreasonably time consuming. The blinds don’t come with any instructions so if you have a question, the only way to get it answered is to submit it to the vendor through Amazon. The blinds are theoretically supposed to be preset with a remote when you get them but half of mine were set to open when told to close and vice Versa so I have to reset all of these and reprogram them. The Yoolax customer service team is pretty responsive and tried to be helpful but they tended to give really vague instructions like “just reverse the direction” without explaining how to actually do it. I finally got them to send me an actual pdf instruction manual and after that set up was really easy but I’m not sure why they don’t just include this with the product in the first place. A few months later, I ordered another Yoolax blind for a new window I had put in. I theoretically ordered the same blind as I had previously but the new one was completely different than the first set I received and was also programmed incorrectly so I had to reach out and get the “new” set of instructions to reprogram this blind as it didn’t work according to the instructions of the previous set. All blinds are set up and working now and overall I do still think these were a great deal for what they are. However, they’re still not cheap by any means (was about 6k to do the whole house) and I feel like for that price the setup should be a little more seamless. If this were fixed I’d give them 5 stars. If you’ve got some time on your hands for a project these are great but if you’re strapped for time and only need a few blinds I’d probably spend the extra money and go through a local company that sells and installs electric blinds
