Great budget pedals, I'm very pleased.
I bought my first expensive ($3k+) new bike and didnt want the $4 pedals they put on them at the shop. The bike shop showed me a few of their pedals but most were $150 or more. I figured I'm buying an expensive bike, I need to cut cost somewhere. I looked on Amazon and found these Race Face pedals. I was worried they'd feel cheap when I got them but to my surprise they are excellent pedals. I've ridden demo bikes with metal pedals similar to these but I think I actually prefer these Race Face composite pedals over super expensive metal pedals. I stay firmly planted on my bike even on rough trails, they seem to be pretty light weight and have survived several pedal strikes on rocks and roots. I'm now looking at a second pair for my new road/fitness bike. I ordered the black pedals but I love the color options for matching them to your bike's color scheme. I think I'll go blue for the road bike. Pick these up!

They're Good
If you're concerned about pedal grip for your mountainbike, these will fit the bill. The metal knobbies do the job. They're composite resin plastic, so they're light and take a beating. Install is like any pedal. 1 standard thread, 1 reverse thread. 15mm. Easy peasy. If any negative, if by any case your feel DO slip, watch those pedals cuz they're probably do a really nice job on ripping up your shins. These pedals are worth every penny. I was going to go aluminum for that "bling" factor, but these resins do just fine. I got the blue. THey stand out just fine.

Looks good, great grip
Color is sharp (blue), failproof grip on my mountain bike shoes. The pedal is made of a super durable material that absorbs pedal strikes much better than metal flat pedals and doesn't show scratches like a finished metal pedal would. Price was reasonable for a quality pedal. No issues after a few months use.

Bicycle Pedal Review
I used to ride my bicycle on the dirt trails around my neighborhood every weekend when I was younger, but now I mostly ride on the paved paths to stay active. The old plastic parts on my bicycle were getting slick and my boots would slip off when the ground got wet. I put these new platforms on the crank arms last Saturday and took a long ride. The little metal points on the surface grip the bottom of my shoes very well so my feet stay in place when I push down hard. The wide shape gives my whole foot a solid base which helps because my arches get sore on long trips. They spin very smooth when I pedal and they do not make any clicking noises. The plastic material feels tough enough to handle hits from loose rocks or gravel on the path. It took me about twenty minutes to twist them into the threads with a regular wrench. My feet feel much safer now when I ride fast down the hills.

My Favorite Mountain Bike Pedals
These are by far my favorite pedals. I've had my pair of these for about 3 years now and have put on hundreds of miles with no issue. I use these combined with my 5.10 freerider shoes and my feet never slip off. These almost have the performance of a clipless pedal. If you scoop your feet you can use the incredible amount of grip to pull up on the pedal. The only downside is it can be a little challenging to re position your feet if you place your foot in the wrong spot initially. I've ridden and demoed bikes with lots of different flat pedals but every time I wish they had these on instead. For the price you can't go wrong.

Race Face Chestar - GREAT BUY!
I got these a couple months ago for upgrading my bikes original pedal to these. Oh my is what I have to say about these pedals. My feet stick to these very well and for a a price point they are at I would recommend these, they come is several colors to match your bike. I have yet to hit a rock full force with these yet, but I think that these will hold up. I have had pedals on my downhill bike that are not as sticky as the Chesters' here. Very easy to put on, they DO NOT come with grease on them so make sure you grab some of that on here if you will need it. This set of pedals give me so much more confidence when on the bumpy trails or taking tight turns. Link: Race Face Chester Pedal Blue, One Size

Great pedal, great colour.
Light grippy pedal. And it matches the colour scheme on the Whyte 801. Whatโs not to like.

Fantastic and great price
Purchased to add to commuter bike, the increased surface area pins make the bike a lot easier to ride than with the stock pedals. Really easy to install and a reasonable price.

Nice enough pedals
Good enough if you are coming from basic OEM pedals. Found them to have less grip and surface area than my old Stamp 1โs however.
