I would assume so as it is very stout. The handle is covered with plastic so can not tell for sure.

I use it on assembly of furniture. Does not Mar or leave marks. Perfect balance and solid. Would work well on metal as long as it's not sharp edged. You can damage this hammer striking a sharp edge.
