Excellent hearing protection
I am moderately hearing impaired, having lost about half my high frequency hearing over the past few years. Any sort of loud noise exposure further jeopardizes my hearing, causing severe ringing and then further hearing loss. I still love music though. Especially live music. I miss hearing music the way I used to. I don't have the fidelity I used to, but I still enjoy listening to all kinds of music and want to retain my current frequencies. So I just went to a concert with my new Minuendo protection. We were in the 6th row in a small venue. Three bands--3 1/2 hours of music. And at the end, my hearing was great and I had no extra tinnitus. The next day, no extra tinnitus and retained hearing. I used the adjustment on the plug throughout the concert, louder during talking, quieter during heavier hitting songs. And they were comfortable to wear. Yes, they cost more. But they're designed and made in Norway, not China. The quality is excellent, it comes with many different earplugs, and they do exactly what they're supposed to. I'm extremely pleased.

Updated: Great product
Updating my previous review. The company reached out as my pair was part of a batch with some identified quality issues. The sent me a replacement pair and the new pair immediately feels like a sturdier / higher quality product. The mechanism to adjust the noise cancellation has a firm feel where the previous ones had little pushback on the sliders. The magnets are firmly in place on the outside and do not seem like they will fall out the way my old ones did. Time will tell the long term durability but I’ve had them for about a month using multiple times a week and overall am happy with them. I’m still not at a point where I trust wearing them around my neck with only the magnet attached to the string, but as a drummer I set them on my floor tom during rehearsal and they attach to the stick to the rim and stay out so I like the magnets for that purpose! ———————- old review ———————- These ear plugs were great while they lasted. Unfortunately like others the magnets fell off and eventually got lost within the first month. After a year of occasional use one whole earplug is in pieces. I want so badly to buy a new set but can’t bring myself to spend this much on a poor quality product again.

Don’t waste your money!
A little bit of a background, I’m a professional audio engineer full time (day&night) and I need reliable earplugs. So I purchased what I thought was quality earplugs , especially how much they cost and less than 2 months the magnet fell off. I reached out to the manufacturer personally and sent me a replacement. Let’s just say I should have requested my money back because now one piece completely fell apart. Go for eargasm’s a quarter of the cost and will last much longer then this. If these earplugs were $20 I wouldn’t complain but I spent $200 on a pair that didn’t last a year. Needless to say avoid this!

Won’t work if you are a musician who SINGS or TALKS
These earplugs come with a variety of earpiece shapes, sizes, and materials and a chart of how much sound gets cut out, by decibels. I’m an acoustic strings musician who suffers from what is called Temporary Threshold Shift. If the total volume is not more than about 88 dB, my hearing is excellent. If it gets much louder than that, eventually the cilia in my inner ear get paralyzed and sounds seem to be underwater. I can’t go to loud concerts or be around loud drums. But I play in lots of jams with twenty people, and in some, the volume is just two high and it harms my hearing. These are very expensive, but for “lossless” it seemed to be worth it. The different earpieces and the lever varying the volume work as promised. Perhaps the full sound spectrum is let through. However, not very much of that full sound spectrum gets through. That is to say, in a concert setting where the volume is about 95 dB, even with the setup that lets through the most, I can hear my own loud banjo, but I can barely hear the other instruments. It may be that at a much louder rock concert, these would be great, but I avoid those. At home, I can listen to any music at an enjoyable volume without problem simply by turning down the volume, but these aren’t like that. I do NOT feel that I’ve just turned down the volume. It’s more like the band is down the hall with a couple doors closed. Lots of musicians also sing or talk. That isn’t really possible with these. If you are trying to talk to someone, your own voice sounds unbearably loud, but the people you are talking with are hard to hear. You fear you are talking way too loudly, but perhaps you aren’t. How do you know? As for singing, it’s hard to sing well when you can’t judge your volume and the band sounds like it’s in the next room. So, I paid $138 for these and tried them a couple times. I wouldn’t mind paying that much if they were outstanding, but as it is, I feel like I’ve wasted my money. After testing them, I haven’t used them again.

Best Earplugs I've Tried For Under $100
Best concert earplugs I've tried for under $100. I've tried several. They really work. Sound adjustment works too although a bit tricky. But sound is evenly muted and still allows you to hear full spectrum. I like the magnetic feature that bonds the R and L pieces together and the strap that allows you to wrap around your neck when not in your ears. Less likely to lose than other plugs. Nice small zipper storage case that fits in your pocket. Plenty of ear plug insert sizes to find one that works best with your ears.

As described
They reduce the decibels without losing clarity, expensive.

Best Ear Protection I’ve used
These things are incredible. I’m an audio professional so ear protection is extremely important for me. The obvious things are fit (they provide many different cone types), comfort (they are for long periods of time), and the quality of the noise cancellation. These have a variable slider which allows for more or less intense reduction and they really do make a difference for different environments. I will say the magnets that hold them together caused the top piece to snap off of one of the earbuds so I sent in a picture to Minuendo and after confirming my purchase date they immediately sent out a new pair to me free of charge and I have not had the issue again. Love these and always recommend good hearing protection!

Way overpriced
These are no better than foam earplugs in my opinion.

They work great
I was torn between 4 or 5 stars. 4 because like others have mentioned, they do feel a bit cheap. But thinking about it, they're a 5 because I think the cheap feel lends them to being extremely light as well -- I can forget I'm even wearing these which is excellent. Loop earplugs look and feel fancier, but these are far better for playing with my band in a small practice room with live drums. Being adjustable is a huge bonus too.

Great attenuation without significant loss of detail
I use these every band rehearsal session. They cut volume equally across frequencies which makes them perfect as I sing and play bass. And we are loud.

I migliori.
I migliori per chi ha bisogno di un suono più naturale suonando. Unica pecca, ai miei una delle due calamite che servono per tenerli al collo con cordino quando non si usano, si è scollata dal tappo, rischiando di perderla.
