The Kreg concealed hinge jig is a great choice and well worth the higher price. It looks and feels like a toy, but its so much easier than a ruler and Forstner bit. All you need is a good C-clamp and a decent drill. After a few practice cuts to dial in the setting it performs perfectly. The quality of the 35mm cup holes is outstanding and look professional. My only criticism is that the instructions could be clearer, especially when it comes to setting the hinge offset. I had to make several test cuts to figure out the correct adjustment. Overall, I highly recommend this jig even if you only plan to use it a few times and think it’s a worthwhile investment.

This jig saved me lots of money replacing kitchen hinges. Nothing bad to say, I drilled about 60+ holes on my kitchen cabinets and it drilled the same way on the last cabinet as it did the first. It's better to spend a little more upfront and buy this quality jig than a cheap one and have issues through the building process. Everyone loves the professional look of the cabinets.

I’ve never put in cabinet hinges. Was converting a sliding ‘trashcan’ cabinet into a regular cabinet. This worked great for me to measure, cut, and align the hinges. Cabinet works great now & looks fine. I may never need it again, but it was still cheaper than having a pro do it!

I have a dedicated machine in the shop for this, but sometimes it's easier fabricating a cabinet door in the field. Figured I'd give this a try. It works. Like the other Kreg tools I own it's a decent quality tool that's well engineered and simple to use. Dial in your setback on the rotating eccentric cams, clamp it to your layout mark and drill your hole. Doesn't replace a drill press or boring machine for multiple units, but real handy to have in the truck for a one off. Saved me a run back to the shop a few times already so it paid for itself in fuel.

This thing worked like a champ simple to set up held in place for more than 30 doors. The center hole is plastic and is getting a little oversized now. A drill bushing through the center hole would have been a nice addition.

I used the Kreg Concealed Hinge Jig for installing 35mm cup hinges on a few cabinet doors in my garage workshop. Drilling the cups was straightforward with a standard 35mm bit, and the depth stop worked well to prevent drilling too deep. The build feels solid enough for hobby use, but the plastic parts aren’t as robust as I expected for the price. Alignment can shift slightly if you don’t clamp it tightly. Overall, it gets the job done for occasional cabinet door installations and is a useful tool if you don’t need professional-level precision every day.

Works very well. The edge adjustment is simple and secure. The collar that holds the bit seems flimsy since it's plastic, but I haven't had any issues with the bit staying stable while making my hinge holes. I didn't like the 1/16'' hole for the hinge screws, so I drilled them after with a centering bit and a square to ensure the hinges were straight on the door. You will need clamps to hold the jig as you drill though, so make sure you have something like a 6'' trigger clamp, or the kreg auto adjust vice grip style clamps. The 4'' inset from the edge also makes it easy to keep the hinges positioned evenly on all the doors.

Love Kreg Jigs. They make complicated jobs easy. My only complaint is that it should have a jig for the clip part of concealed hinges too. I had to 3D print one...
