Are you able to pull the string tightly enough to get a snug fit on the ironing board?

Yes, it is like a draw string with a lock clip. So when you pull it tight the clip locks in place. So you have a nice snug fit. If you are still confused then just watch the video on how to tighten the cord around the board.

What material fabric is the cover made from?

Encasa's ironing board cover and pad are made from Cotton.

Is it good for over the door ironing board?

It is ideal for normal ironing boards and not for wall mounted or over the door iron boards.

Is it machine washable?

Spot cleaning is recommended for longevity. Machine washing may reduce the lifespan of the felt padding and affect the snug fit.

Is the surface non-slip during ironing?

Yes, the combination of the drawstring lock and nose pocket prevents the iron board cover from slipping or bunching up, providing a wrinkle-free, firm surface while you iron.
