It does exactly what it is meant to do, but it has left scratches around the top of the Ingenio stainless steel saucepan that is was inserted into. Also, you will be lucky if you can make enough pasta for 2 people: by the time you put this insert into the (already small) Ingenio saucepan, there isn't much room left for the water. You can't fill it too much either, otherwise the water bubbles out of the big gap at the side of the pasta insert.If it had some form of gasket on it that would allow this to work on the Ingenio saucepan while allowing more use of the insert, I think this could have been a fantastic product... especially if the gasket also prevented scratching.

Very good idea, no doubt about it, but when the water boils and starts coming out the pan from the sides it proves otherwise.

Awful! Too small for pasta, as soon as water boils it floods the stove top!? Poorly designed and not fit for purpose! DO NOT BUY IT!!!

I used this product today to make two portions of linguine. The 20 cm pan that is designed to hold this pasta insert just does not hold enough water to cook any amount of pasta. The water continued to come out of the pan onto the hob. Leaving a gooey mess everywhere. Very dissatisfied. A well made useless utensil.

Ideal for pasta making or cooking vegetables. It makes it easier to save the water for use for something else.
