Works well.
After a few modifications husband got it cut to fit. Fairly simple. Helps keep sun out of bedroom and cooler in summer.

Excellent product
These window shades are beautiful. They were easy to install, reasonably priced. I have ordered one more set as we have 5 windows. I would highly recommend them.

Looks good but fitting may not be as simple as instructions suggest
Overall, this is a good inexpensive window shade that will do its job of reducing the light coming in a bedroom window. I received a quote for a professional shade that would have been 800 for the window. I figured I would try this for a whole lot less and see what I thought. I think I will skip the 800 window shade and leave this one. There are a few things to be aware of for fit and sizing- For our bedroom and office half circle windows, there was plenty of shade to make a beautiful shade that blocks a fair amount of light. If your window isn't perfectly half circle, cutting will require some mathematical/shape understanding to get the right fit. My husband had to cut an off-centered V to make it work- he used some blue tape to hold it all tight to do so. Other methods might require cutting to the biggest measurement and then trimming individual pleats. If you have a perfect half circle the instructions should work. One problem with the product- The instructions say to apply tap- but the shade comes pre-taped on 1 side which means when it is fanned out, it doesn't have tape on half of the fan. That is why I reduced my rating.

Wow! Blocks the Heat and Sunlight
We had lost a lot of our shade trees recently due to Hurricane Ida. We now have the sun beaming into our south and west facing windows in the afternoon to a point where the AC is having a hard time keeping up with the additional heat load. I did some internet research looking for possible solutions as our windows are too high up to reach to open and close shades. While I was going to purchase battery operated blinds, there is not enough room on each side of our arched windows to span a blind. I figured these were priced right to give them a try. My wife was totally against these as she feels they are old fashioned and look like something you would see on the Golden Girls. I ordered them anyway. The installation was simple and straight forward. Be sure to clean the dust off the window frame before installing as the double sticky tape that comes with them will need to bond to the lower part of the window frame. I also had to put a small piece of the tape at the top to secure the shade from falling outward. As soon as I installed the shade, you could feel the difference in temperature. I do not think it looks bad in the window, but the wife hates it. However, she has not complained about being hot since I installed it. I went outside to see how it looks and was almost blinded by the reflection of light coming off this shade. It is actually silver on the side that faces the window and white on the side that faces inside. It does the job well. It comes with two shades which is great as there is a high chance you will damage the shade when installing as they are made of a paper like material which is very easy to bend and distort. Mine has a couple of bent seems, but not so bad to require me to take it down. Good luck. Highly recommend.

Great Value and Works Just Fine
This is a rectangle of pleated window shade material. With only a thin press paper backer on each end. Handling this material for arch window over 36" diameter becomes a challenge, as it flops around easily. Learned quickly to keep it fully compressed while fitting it the window well. It trims easily and looks better after a day or two allowing the material to "relax" a bit. we opted to mount without any adhesive. The tape is very aggressive and would be hard to get up from the painted wood trim.

Nice look in the end; installation instructions are awful and installation process is a headache.
Pros: 1) looks good, 2) blocks heat and glare well, 3) decent "fabric" quality, and 4) good value. Cons: 1) instructions refer to things not in the package and are poorly written, 2) plastic clip thing just crunches up the shade and makes it impossible to spread pleats out evenly, and 3) requires creativity and tinkering to install. What we did: didn't use the plastic clip thing at all, didn't use the adhesive strip at all. We trimmed shade to ~1/2in less than the size of the window, fanned it open, and used clear push pins to hold it in place - one at each corner at the bottom and one at the top to keep it from falling out. Used a woodworking clamp to secure the shade while cutting to size; used a utility knife. The nice thing about the push pins is that we can use the shade seasonally - we will put it up for the hot part of year and will take it down for the cooler part of the year. So it took some tinkering and creativity but it's turned out okay.

Buy these if you a shared that: blocks most of the light, is an easy install, & helps with the heat
We just put it up today so I canโt speak to the longevity, but so far we love it! I got it for my babyโs room to help make it darker so she can sleep better. IF your window is a perfect half circle arch, it is SUPER easy to cut. If not, it can still be easy if you donโt mind it not fitting perfectly (lets a little more light in the edges if cut short), or you can try to trace and cut super slowly, or cut a little big and then trim. The good thing is that it comes in a pack of 2, so worst case you get a second try! I love that it is white on the inside, most arch shades that get the room dark are black which donโt look as good. And I LOVE that it is reflective on the outside - the room was noticeably cooler shortly after we put it up (and we already had blinds on our arch but they did not help with the heat). I canโt say for sure if they are 100% blackout because we opted to go the easy route with one simple cut, so the sides are just a hair short which lets a glimmer of light in, plus our window below isnโt blacked out. However before installing I shined my phone flashlight through and couldnโt see any light from that, so they are least block most of the light! We have blinds on top of the shade - we already owned the blinds but wanted it just a little darker and a lot cooler - but in the picture, the shade IS up, it is just between the window and the blinds. I just wanted you to have an idea for the darkness level of the room!

Perfect light blocking option for arched windows
We've struggled with an oversize window that was making our bedroom too bright. This was the cheapest option... And also proved to be quite stylish. Note that if your windows are not a perfect round arch then this won't work the best. So there might still be some light that comes in on the side. Overall very good product for the price that you pay.
