ALBA BOTANICA Acnedote Deep Pore Wash, 177 ML

While I love this face wash and it feels so smooth and light on my skin without being drying, this seller sent me an expired product. I purchased in Jan 2026 and the expiration date at the bottom of my bottle says Oct 2025! Alba Botanica changed their formulation not long ago and this bottle is their original formula that I loved but unfortunately it is expired. Let this be a word of caution to others not to buy this Acnedote item from this seller!

Hard to get product out of bottle.

It helped my perimenopause acne. I get breakouts from time to time and this product helped a lot. I highly recommend it.

If you have combination to acne prone skin, this product is perfect. I have struggled with acne ever since I was thirteen, and at nearly 25-years-old, I thought I would never find something I could use daily that wasn't too harsh or wasn't strong enough. This product has found that balance. It clears up breakups as they happen and prevents budding pimples from getting worse, much like a spot treatment. If you don't have a moisturizer you like, it can be slightly drying, especially in the winter months. I'm not the biggest fan of the Acnedote lotion that goes with it, as I find it dries you out and beads up under makeup. I suggest you use this product with a gentle, every-day moisturizer with SPF over the lotion that goes with the Acnedote line.

It's hard to find a cleanser with natural ingredients and salicylic acid, so I'm happy to have found this one. I've already bought three or four. The price is decent and definitely worth it. There are cheaper drugstore cleansers but the ingredients aren't as reliable. One bottle also goes a long way for me, and I can use it up to 6 months. It is just a cleanser though, not a miracle cure for acne. It won't make acne or skin problems disappear overnight or anything, but I find it helps maintain a clearer skin when used regularly. For more severe problems, it's better to use other products and treatments in conjunction and consult professionals. I like that it's light and foamy, though I would like it to foam a little more, but it's not a big deal. It also doesn't irritate my skin, which can be sensitive sometimes. It's quite effective against oily skin, which I get during the humid summer months, and I found it not to dry my skin excessively either. For dry skin, it might not be the best option though, but everyone is different and it does take some experimenting. I do wish it came with a more environmentally friendly packaging. I hate to throw out all that plastic every time I order it.
