Feast for the Senses
De Cecco Spaghetti with Spinach is my favorite pasta, bar none. It cooks up beautifully firm and al dente. The green color provides a great visual palette, whether alone or paired with red or cream sauces. The pasta has a rich, earthy aroma. The taste is sublime, a hearty semolina with subtle spinach notes and a hint of nutty sweetness. My favorite preparation is boiling with a bit of salt and virgin olive oil in the water, then tossing drained pasta with real butter, salt, pepper, parmesan and sauteed pine nuts. But it's also great with heavy sauces, and has the rough finish to hold them well. De Cecco pasta is made in Italy and is considered one of the best. I used to have to shop at a specialty grocery store to find this spinach spaghetti, but now I can order it by the case on Amazon!

Tasty!
These are a little chewier an thicker than I expected but they're good! I've used them stand-alone with a bit of olive oil and garlic salt and that's great! They also work well as a substitution for regular spaghetti in other dishes (like with chicken and mushroom cream sauce).

Sneak kiddos veggies
Brands seem to be dropping their veggie based spaghetti noodles (barilla, mueller, and even store brands giant,‘Safeway etc). These were greener than what I’ve been feeding the kids so I was a little worried it wouldn’t pass. Even smells a little when cooking. The kids did notice the difference, but wasn’t a big enough shock where they refused to even try. Now they eat it like the other noodles they were use too. I like them as well.

Good
The spaghetti noodles are ever-so-slightly thicker than typical spaghetti, and they’re a lighter shade of green than other spinach noodles we’ve tried (which makes me wonder about the actual amount of spinach in them). But they came out very soft with a good taste!

texture isn't great
The boxes are small and price is no bargain.
