What is the difference between this one and the Thunderbolt 3 version apart from one being 4 and the other being 3? They are both 40gb/ps

The important distinction between TB3 and TB4 is that TB4 allows for a longer full bandwidth data transmission without the need for the cable to be “active”, that is have an additional chip in it to extend the range. TB3 “passive” cables support the full 40Gbit/s speed up to 0.5m whereas “active” cables support full speeds up to 2m. TB4 supports the full 40Gbit/s while passive up to 2m.

Does this support 4k 144 hz for 2021 macbook pro?

Thunderbolt 4 cables have enough bandwidth to support dual 4k60hz monitors or a single 4k120hz monitor. Thunderbolt 4 supports displayport 1.4 but I’m unsure if that means TB4 also uses display stream compression to “overclock” to 4k144hz. You should get up to 4k120hz on a single monitor.

Does this cable work with the iPad Pro 12.9" 6th generation?

I just bought this cable. For iPad Pro 12.9" 6th generation this cable is only capable of charging, not data transfer. Be aware of ambiguous deceptive description!

Does the cable support 8K at 60 hz?

Yes, thunderbolt 4 can also probably project to an entire IMAX screen for an audience over 1000. This cable was blessed by Jesus.
