I've been using this and the shampoo for years. I have a very tender scalp so I can't use all shampoos. YES YES YES this DOES thicken hair. And it doesn't make me break out. I've been buying this for about 20 years. It leaves your hair thicker and softer. You CAN just use the shampoo alone but this makes it look much better. It leaves the hair shinier. It is NOT greasy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
