What purpose does the brush serve? I have used the Pink Fusion a couple times and never got a brush with it.

This latest version contains an added coralline species whose zoospores will attach to the inner walls of the bottle during shipping. The included brush is used to brush inside the bottle to loosen and detach these zoospores in order to have them enter your tank and resettle. Will the product be fine if it sits in the cold after being delivered? I might not be home when it arrives.

It's perishable. I'd get it to a stable temperature and use it as soon as you are able.

Will this work for a 15 gallon tank?

Yes this will work for a 15 gallon aquarium!

Does this come on ice? Nitrifying bacteria is really sensitive to temp swings. It should be shipped and stored on ice

We pack all orders based on current weather conditions of the journey, which most often includes a cold pack during shipping. While the coralline algae bottles do contain some nitrifying bacteria, the coralline spores are more sensitive and are best at room temperature (similar to your fish tank) and so all packages are aimed to arrive at a moderate temperature.
