Something has changed. The oil is yellow, two shades darker than earlier orders. The scent is stronger than before. It appears not to have been washed of impurities AT ALL. Chelsea has repeatedly blamed some magical change in the color of flaxseed oil they use. Clearly, this is ridiculous on its face. They were able to clean the same seeds’ oil of all impurities while it served their marketing plans. Now it is as yellow as horse urine and will become brittle and dark with age just like any low grade oil. This vender is not selling Chelsea’s best because Chelsea obviously no longer has the best. I have ordered a vertical scientific separator funnel, will wash this qt of urine to see what happens in settling, but I already know this oil is still full of mucilage and grit. Very bad deterioration of quality. Distressing to see what was such a beautiful product made so sloppily, so common. I do not recommend wasting your money on them or their sellers until they return to the quality they advertise. This is an insulting, careless, disinterested failure of process. Dissatisfied and disgusted with this jug of glue. No more.

It is good

I have been using this product for many years. Either this is a defective oil or the quality of the product has dropped. Usually this oil is very light yellow. But in the bottle I received, the oil was rich yellow color. You can see the difference in color in the photo I attached.

This is not the refined oil I requested. I ordered the pale oil.I got one that is not so refined. I make paint with this oil ,the fade quality is important. This oil will do,but I will use another brand next.(Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil)

I used to really enjoy this brand of linseed oil, but the product now seems very yellow and not at all like before. I returned mine.
