What adapter do you use with this one?

I imagine you're looking for a screw on surface mount adapter? The best way to mount these is in a 10mm hole, however Blum makes a screw mount surface mount adapter. Do these actually latch in the retracted (door closed) position? i guess i don't know what the "tip on " function does?

They come with a magnet tip and operate like a traditional push to release, there is a small metal plate you mount to the door to contact the tip. So more specifically to your question, yes, they latch in the closed position.
