Does it dry clear on clear plastic?

Yes and no. If you use too much and it is left alone it drys nearly clear on plastic, but if too much is used I often accidentally glue part of my finger to the model which usually results in some opacity from the interference. The glue itself appears to dry clear if it is allowed to dry clear of particulate or contact. If you use the Zip Kicker catalyst be especially careful because if a concentration of Zap-A-Gap and the Zip Kicker come into contact the resultant deposit after it catalyzes and hardens is opaque. TL:DR if you don't use too much glue it dries clear on the plastic models I am using it to assemble.

Does it work well for soft lure repair

It might dissolve rubber worms but should work on crankbaits.

Mine was in a soft package, and the soft package was inside of a box.

How is this applied? Is it a brush-on like the smaller size?
