A very well made product which works perfectly on my gas hob. It retains the heat for a long time after you turn the heat off as it is so efficient.

It's a good tool, I highly recommend

will not work induction even thought discription states it will item is non magnetic

Our new propane range cooker was burning everything no matter how carefully we were. The diffuser has solved the problem, evenly distributed the heat and brings pleasure back to cooking stir fries etc.

It's so much better than my previous one, flat, pans sit on it better, distributes heat evenly, stays flat even when hot.

The instructions were in Chinese. Came with a picture of a defrosting plate. very confusing!

Used it same day of delivery, defrosted a piece of meat, very quick, then used it under a casserole to diffuse the heat, very pleased with it .

I bought this because I wanted to protect the bottom of my cookware from discolouring (which it does), but I found the increased energy consumption bothersome. The heat diffusion function makes sense for braising, but for other cooking methods that don't typically take a long time, the inconveniences (cooking time prolonged and flame control less responsive) outweigh the benefits. For my biggest burner, it's also dangerous to use this plate because it drives the flame to its rim (creating a fire ring 24cm in diameter) and gets quite close to the control knob. I no longer use it so much on my gas burners, but as a aluminium plate it's still great for defrosting, or any other tasks that require fast heat transfer like cooling down hot pots etc.
