Fasco Motors D7909 Motor

New in the box and was an exact fit AC up and running again.

This was a perfect match to for the motor I removed from my ancient but still working American Standard AC condenser. The shaft needed to be cut down, along with the mounting bolts, but that was easy to do with a hacksaw. The hardest part was getting the fan blades off the old motor....but penetrating oil and a large hammer did the trick!

Works great, easy to hook up.

I'm not the person who installed it, credit goes to my dad. But this product came in quickly, was a great price and fit well. There are several wires that didn't match what my old AC had, but we were able to figure that out based on other peoples post on the internet. This is not the fault of the manufacturer, I believe it's because my unit is really old and wired different.

For $80, I dont think 7 yrs is too bad in Houston heat/humidity. Thats how long first Fasco motor lasted. Worst part of replaceing this is getting the fan off the shaft. If you can find replacement blades that fit (and a replacement grill for that matter), purchase them. Removing the blades is a painful job. They make hub pullers, but I didnt have one. blow torch and a lot of cussing got mine off.
