I really like this board. It looks nice, seems solid. Works well with the chalk we have used so far (sidewalk chalk, plain ol' white stick chalk) We have a standard blackboard eraser, and have used damp sponge with water to wash it successfully. I love the fact that it is magnetic. We had planned to use this for grown-up things (calendar and to do list) but have instead mounted it low to the ground for our kids to use. They are just as pleased with it as I am. The only improvement I could think of would be to add a chalk tray. (thankfully it is magnetic, so we can easily stick a container for chalk to the board) We like it better than other chalkboards we own because of it's larger size, ease to clean, the fact that it is smooth, the chalk actually sticks when writing, and it is magnetic. It was listed for about $60 at the time of our purchase and I feel that compared to other boards available, it is a good value for the dollar.

Was very pleased with this product. I have bought big boards in the past elsewhere that just didn't hold up especially in the corner or on the mounting. This board seems much better quality at the same price. The hooks on the back are small loops on the corner which makes for easy mounting. I thought this type of mounting(it spaces it off the wall a tiny bit on the top) would make it wobbly when trying to draw, but it seemed fine. I might add a bit of wall tacky putty to stabilize On the bottom it but it seems good for now. I really really appreciated how it was packaged when it arrived. I was skeptical to order this online because I didn't want to hastle with returning it if it was messed up in shipping... but it was wrapped really well and looked perfect when opened. Overall I would give it 5 stars because it was exactly what I ordered and came properly packaged to not be damaged and it seems to be good quality for the price.

When considering whether or not to switch from a dry-erase board to a chalk board for homeschooling, I researched many types of blackboards. It was important to me to find a well-constructed, generously-sized blackboard that would work great with basic chalk (because I'm tired of using pricey markers that dry out in the middle of a lesson). This board fits the bill! No problems with ghost marks. It cleans up great with a dry cloth, and a moist cloth makes it look like new. Packaging was excellent. Highly recommended!

This arrived with some very small (maybe 1/2 inch) scratches in the black surface on opposite side top and bottom corners. Not glaringly obvious, but I can see where this would be an issue for some. I never plan to use it with chalk but rather for displaying family photos, and the crazy magnets I collect traveling, so I just position them accordingly. If it becomes a bother I can touch it up with some paint. Overall it’s a nice piece, a bit pricy for what it is, but still cheaper than so many others available. Magnets hold nicely through photos and postcards. It did require two people to hang, but only to keep it straight. I hung mine horizontally and simply rotated the hanging loops to do so. I do wish that the hardware was behind the frame rather than visibly sticking out the top, but I plan to hang garland or something to cover this. I wanted more useable surface area than frame and this fits the bill perfectly allowing me to load up with pics of our newest little family members and travel pics. Arrived in a fitted box wrapped in a bubble wrap sleeve and foam sheets on both sides, so the small scratches were not a shipping issue. I get loads on complements on this.

This thing is great. It's definitely worth it to spend a little more on a magnetic chalkboard. It's an awesome message center for our home and it looks really nice too. The wood is this lovely, dark, deep color. It seems to be way more expensive than it actually is. I put string lights around it and got some cute magnets - definitely happy with my purchase and with the delivery

I got this chalkboard for my fiancé to hang in our living room. He likes to map out his thoughts on projects he's working on this way. So far, we've only used regular cheap chalk on it (I got the Versachalk markers, but haven't used them yet), and it's super smooth, erases beautifully. You can really tell the difference with the materials. It hasn't been long, but it seems like it won't scratch. Nothing about it looks cheap, so it fits in well with the rest of the room. It's exactly what I was looking for. :)

I LOVE this magnetic chalkboard. Not only was the shipping lightning fast but it was so well packaged too! The board itself is good quality and the wooden border gives it that vintage patina. So beautiful, and not to mention functional with the dual ability to write with chalk and magnetic. It is the perfect addition to our mid-century-modern home.

I ordered a 24x36 Chalkboard through Amazon from VersaChalk. There was some confusion about shipping/delivery when I was given an incorrect tracking #. I contacted VersaChalk and Reilene at VersaChalk quickly corrected the issue. I ordered on Nov 2 and arriving date was Nov 14- Nov 27. My VersaChalk chalkboard was delivered on Nov 4 ! Very pleased with VersaChalk and their product. The chalkboard is perfect,love the wooden frame. This is a Christmas present for my 3 year old grandson. He played with one at a bookstore and I had to drag him away. He loved writing with the colored chalk and then erasing, so I am looking forward to Christmas morning when he unwraps this VersaChalk chalkboard.

This is not a VersaChalk chalkboard. 1) it is paper over cheap particle board not porcelain; 2) it is not magnetic 3) it is not double sided 3) it does not have the mounting rings (again) not the actual product advertised or shown.

Used this board to create a seating plan for my best friends wedding - she loved it! Very good quality and easy to clean.

It's well constructed, perfect size and great use as a message center for my crowded House! I even got it shipped earlier than quoted. And a cinch to hang. Thanks!

Bought it for my growing Grand Son & Daughter to learn to write along with the markers and magnetic letters and numbers to get a an early start. Couldn't be happier with all those products.
