Botanical Art from the Golden Age of Scientific Discovery

My SO has been getting into botany as a hobby. We are both fascinated by the illustrations we’ve come across in various shops and museums. I went looking for a book like this to gift her. It has beautiful images and was exactly what I was looking for. Great quality, unique topic for you coffee table collection.

I purchased this book for my scientist husband, who enjoys many aspects of science, so I cannot comment on anything but the absolutely lovely illustrations. It's like an art book. If the illustrations were sold as single pages many would be worth framing.

Customers are offered very little insight into the pages as is offered as an option when purchasing books on amazon. I would have liked to have seen a preview of the contents of the book that I was buying beforehand, however, I got the product that I thought I was buying. The images (drawings and paintings of plants and horticulture) are as high quality, detailed, and scientifically oriented as I was hoping for whilst making the purchase. I am not disappointed.

Love the book. I did opt to order this new, yet the bind seem used and the dust cover was a bit beat up. Should have just ordered it used.
