The Best Broadway Songs Ever (Best Ever)

There was so much incredible music from the Broadway era of the 1940s to today 2015 that no one volume could encompass all of it or do justice to it in one volume. But this one comes close. This volume captures a good measure of Broadway through the decades with some of the greatest selections from my favorite composers Rodgers and Hammerstein, also Lerner and Loew, the Gershwins, Cole Porter, and my other favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber with Tim Rice and Don Black, also the great Marvin Hamlisch with Edward Kleban, Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein -- the list is long. If you want a nice Broadway music book that covers a good portion of the Great American Songbook through Broadway musicals, get this book. To paraphrase a song, you'll get a singular sensation that just can't be beat. Enjoy.

As the book title says, this is pretty much the best set of Broadway songs! from show stopping numbers to the old favorites you know and love, this book has it all. a supersize i wasn't expecting though. this book also has guitar tabs for the songs as well! you can play these tunes on mutable instruments and can learn guitar all at the same time!

The book's so darned big that it keeps flopping over on my keyboard, and even when it's upright it's near-impossible to turn the pages. Why don't they make these things with spiral binding? I do like the music and the arrangements. They seem tailored to an early intermediate like me.

There was nothing I disliked about this volume. As the title says, It is the best songs Broadway ever had! If you are a musician, as I am, you won't be able to stop playing! If you are not a musician, you will be tappin' your feet, singin' a song, and keepin' the beat as the music is playin'! For musicians and music lovers this book is a definite must have!

This book has nice arrangements of many of Broadway's greatest, most memorable tunes--from "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" to "Evita" to "Sunrise, Sunset." The level is such that I can whip these pieces into shape in a reasonable amount of time. I like the book so much that when I thought I'd lost it, I bought another one.

Bought for my daughter as a Christmas present since it was on her wish list. She has two music degrees and teaches voice in her home. She swears this is the most comprehensive Broadway collection around, and she was thrilled to get it.

Love, love, love this book of Broadway songs. It is missing a couple of songs I would like it to have such as "This Is My Beloved" from Kismet. I guess it's a way of getting me to purchase the book of Broadway songs that has the song. The more music books I have, the merrier. Thank you!

The Hal Leanard Corp delivered the purchase the very next day! This book has almost 400 page of awesome broadway show tunes with piano scores showing the vocals (for easy playing) and the full score for medium difficulty - also the guitar chords with each song.
