Works as advertised
I received my box...it was perfect! box was not damaged. But the entire frame of the unit (where the burner drops into) was bent about 1/2" askew. Nothing a little muscle wouldn't fix. Weird how that happened. It took me exactly one hour to assemble. i timed it. I have put together a few in my day, but the directions were pretty goo. Two of the four swivel wheels have locks on them. Following the directions, they have you put the locking wheels on the rear of the grille. You don't figure this out until you are practically done assembling it. The photo shows a backing to the unit (where the gas cylinder is). My nit only had a small bracket. This leaves the back open and acts as a nice sail for the wind, it you do not have the unit against a wall or other solid object. The 8" hose for the regulator is very short. The gas cylinder will only fit in one position when the equipped hose is attached. I then tried to attach an inline fuel level gauge, and the position of the tank had to be moved a bit, but the hose is too short. So i had to send back the gauge (DOZYANT Propane Tank Gauge Level Indicator Leak Detector Gas Pressure Meter Color Coded Universal for Cylinder, BBQ Gas Grill, RV Camper, Heater and More Appliances - Type 1 Connection). The unit did not show any burning to the paint or the enamel of the grates. Maybe because I conditioned the unit with a slow burn....low heat for a few mins then a quick burst to 575 degrees.. Wash, rinse, repeat. Unit does not seem able to go over 575 degrees, despite the gauge showing 650. Ignitor works flawlessly, and unit heats up to over 450 quickly. Works for me and my needs. Price point was ok as well ($349).

Smaller Than the Old One.
Of course smaller upper rack which didn't need to be. Plenty of room to have kept it the size it was.

3 Year Review - excellent grill
3 Year Review We bought the charbroil grill 3 summers ago and it’s been great. We downsized from a 4 burner grill and it’s been no problem cooking for 5-6 people at a time. It is a very efficient on propane, we grill all the time and rarely have to refill. This grill is a real champ at cooking just about anything. We do burgers, steaks, chicken, shrimp, pizza… you name it. It heats up fast, so it’s great for quick meals or reheating a rotisserie chicken. The grate is good about not letting food fall through, which is awesome for doing vegetables and shrimp. It’s fairly sturdy and has no problem supporting a cast iron skillet. As far as durability goes, it’s made of sheet metal and feels more than solid enough. I have occasionally had to retighten screws on the handle and shelves, but nothing major. I leave my grill outside on an uncovered patio with a cover on it most of the time. It still looks fairly good. I have had to replace the burners and igniter on the grill after 3 years. It works like new now.

Another Case of Missing The Obvious
Char-Broil got so many things right on this grill yet they missed such an integral & obvious problem that plagues the owner. I've had this grill for well over a year now and I love it (except this one thing). The assembly was terrific compared to other grills, the design is attractive & very functional, the dimensions are excellent, and the performance of the grill is fabulous for everything from your meats to veges to fish. So where's the problem? The grates - these are the absolute worst grates I have ever owned in a grill. "Infrared" whatever...honestly I have no idea if they heat up better and faster but what I do know is that they are the most difficult items to clean on the planet - you'd think Char-Broil would have at least created a grill brush with a design to get inside the valleys of the grates. Nope. Trust me, whatever method they share on how to "easily" clean your grates - it doesn't work and these things will make you hate this grill. I purchased after-market stainless steel grates which while their design sucks because the wires are too far apart, they are much easier to clean. Will have to find a better alternative for grates but just beware that the grill is terrific but the grates will be the death of it.

Best grill ever
I liked my 3 burner infrared much better then this 2 burner .. but its what the pocket could afford..my 3 burner infrared was 12 years old replaced the perforated grates once only … the best thing about these grills you never have flare ups catch your food on fire , if used properly… clean up of grates is easy with the brush that comes with .. read directions on cleaning..
