Hi the original Sony price for this is $30. These are 3rd party sellers raising the price due to the high demand.

Q: Is it bluetooth or ir for media playback on ps5?

It transmits to the PS5 via Bluetooth, but has an IR transmitter to control a television.

Q: Will this remote be compatible with PS4?

No, I tried it and the ps4 will let you connect it however not let you navigate the menu's and does absolutely nothing.

Good

The remote itself is good and useful, but the batteries that came with it was weak. Didn't work for more than a week. Use some good batteries if you can people.

I love it!

This control works fine with my PlayStation 5 with no issues at all.For a while, I was wondering what the volume +/- did as the PlayStation 5 doesn't have any volume to turn up or down, but after setting up the console linked with my TV, these buttons were controlling the volume of the TV.Another time I had issues with the control was due to low batteries which was fixed after replacing them.
