Reliable and professional
I purchased the lady bugs previously and recently got the green lacewings. My first batch of lacewings didn't have much hatch and I asked them for any advice of what I could do and they promptly sent me a new shipment without any hassle. The new shipment I had to quickly place them as they were very lively and crawling on my hand. I will be using them again for sure.

Disappointing Results Despite Proper Conditions
I ordered 2,500 green lacewing eggs to help control a thrips infestation on a large houseplant collection (40+ plants). Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. When I opened the package, I saw mostly husks and very few visible eggs. Over the course of nearly two weeks, I only observed 5–6 lacewing larvae total, despite maintaining proper indoor conditions (70–73°F, 55–60% humidity, no pesticides after release, plants clustered for coverage). During this time, the thrips infestation worsened and spread to all plants, indicating extremely low predator pressure. I contacted customer support multiple times to explain that the concern was egg quantity and hatch rate, not predator choice. However, responses repeatedly focused on visibility (“they are very small”) rather than addressing the lack of measurable impact or low observed hatch rate. I was told this outcome was “normal,” which did not align with my experience or expectations for a 2,500-egg order. I understand biological controls are not instant or perfect, but with this quantity I expected to see significantly more activity and at least some suppression of thrips. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Based on my experience, I would not rely on this product alone for an active thrips infestation and was left feeling that my concerns were not fully addressed.

Good for the bug, not the version of this I would get again
One of the best things I could get for my garden, but not the version of this that worked for me. I put up the little boxes on various parts of my yard according to the instructions (which were informative) and I felt like I was pouring cereal flakes into each. I'm wondering if other bugs got to them, or if the heat involved in shipping to Florida made the eggs not viable. This brand is very good otherwise and I'll be leaving reviews on the other things I have purchased with them that worked for me. Things might be different for you especially for where you live.

Not the result I was hoping for, low visible hatch rate
Wanted to love this item. I did really appreciate all the info that was sent with item VERY informative. The inner plastic bag that eggs were contained in was not fully sealed with slight gap at the top unclear if intentional for air or not but resulted in some spillage in shipping container. Two options for hatching were described I split my order and tried both methods. I cannot say what my hatch rate was but definitely not what I expected I only saw 6 that I could clearly identify. Unfortunately no difference noted on my plants

Yes, I Paid for Bugs. No, I Haven’t Lost My Mind… (Yet)
Every gardener will understand this immediately: sometimes you need reinforcements. Not fertilizer… not mulch… BUGS. So when my husband checked the mail and came back inside holding a box labeled “LIVE INSECTS — HANDLE WITH CARE” like it was radioactive, the interrogation began. “Why… are bugs being delivered to our house?” “Why did you PAY for them?” “Are they… ALIVE???” Meanwhile, every gardener knows I’m basically summoning my tiny green army to go handle the pests that have been bullying my plants all season. These lacewing eggs? Elite soldiers. Nature’s tiny ninjas. The pest control squad I didn’t know I desperately needed until now. But trying to explain to my non-gardening husband that “Yes, babe, I bought bugs,” and “Yes, they’re supposed to hatch,” and “No, they won’t take over the house… probably,” was not on my bucket list this year. Long story short: My plants are thriving, the pests are terrified, and my husband now double-checks every package before opening it in case I’ve ordered more “little green friends.” Highly recommend for gardeners — and for mildly confusing your spouse.

Waste of time, money & now I have aphids.
First batch, kept at 70+ for 14 days- not one hatched. Plus I could see literally nothing but rice hulls in the package. So they were kind enough to send a replacement batch. With the second batch, I saw 3 hatch, and waited a few more days before I set them out in the 70-80 weather to be sure. But after 3 days, the 3 that hatched were dead and not one more appeared. Not sure what’s going on at their “bug factory” - but it’s not working. To top it off, their location is only 1 day away from us with shipping and the temps were perfect. Total waste of time and money because they told me to stop using diatomaceous earth to protect their non-existent larvae - so now I have aphids!!!

I’ve had great results
Excellent natural solution to the heavy aphid infestation on my 2 Rose of Sharon shrubs. I began using them 2 years ago. About to order for the fourth time to keep the aphids in check. Follow the instruction carefully and they will do the job for you. Yes, I once had a batch that didn’t make it thru the mail, they seemed to have already hatched before getting to me, but the company responded quickly to make things right. I also try to time when I place my order to avoid the weekend. I place the order Sunday night so that I receive by Friday or Saturday.
