SHARPAL 101N 6-in-1 Pocket Knife Sharpener & Survival Tool

This 6-in-1 knife sharpener is a great addition to my camping gear. The compact size makes it easy to pack and carry, and it's perfect for sharpening knives while out in the great outdoors. It did an excellent job bringing older knives back to life and quickly sharpening knives that get heavy use. The extra features are a nice bonus, but the sharpener alone makes it worth having. It's easy to use, works well, and doesn't take up much space in a backpack. Definitely a handy tool to have on any camping trip!

This SHARPAL 101N 6-in-1 tool was highly recommended to me, and so far it has been great. The knife sharpener works very well on both straight and serrated blades, making it easy to touch up pocket knives and outdoor blades in just a few passes. The diamond sharpening rod is handy for finer work and hard-to-reach edges, and I like having everything in a compact, lightweight package that fits easily in a pocket or pack. The built-in fire starter and whistle are a nice bonus for camping and emergency use, adding real survival value without making it bulky or complicated to use. If you want a portable sharpener that actually works and doubles as a practical survival tool, this one is an excellent choice.

Pretty nifty and handy, and it seems to sharpen quite well, even the serrated portion of knives. No complaints regarding quality, thus far.

Great cheap every-day-carry to keep in case of emergency and the knife sharpener works great. I tried the knife sharpener on a really old pocket knife that has been used for just about everything. Was entirely dull and the end had some chips in it. After only 5-6 passes on the sharpeners, the knife is brought back to life. Nice and small to keep in a small kit.

Great for keeping my pocket knife in tune.

Good to have if you own knives or blades to keep sharp.

It works well for what it is. Also, for those having problems with the fero rod, here's how you use it. You pull it out and run it through the metal sharpener. You have to keep pretty hard pressure to make it spark, but a hard and fast pull will generate a strong and very bright spark. It does seem to have a coating that needs to be worn through, so it may take a few attempts. Most people are going to want to strike it with a knife, but I only think this will dull the knife.

Molto ben fatto, funzionale, leggero e comodo. L'ho usato per affilare coltelli, per affilare la falce ed altri strumenti da lavoro. E' economico, leggero e ben fatto, ha tutto quello che serve per affilare e tenere in funzione strumenti anche pesanti. L'affilacoltelli Victorinox fa esattamente la stessa cosa di questo: mangiando un po' di lama rifà il filo. Non lo userei quindi su costosi coltelli forgiati ma lo uso su tutti i coltelli stampati che ho, soprattutto quelli da esterno! Prova del taglio carta superato anche dal falcetto! Insomma, affila bene, costa il giusto ed è pratico, un must per me!

Very neat nifty gadget, works very nicely to reshape and sharpen knife blades, will work on titanium blades but I wouldn’t recommend sharpening those often on this. For thicker knives like the gerber strongarm knife it will score the side of the black oxide layer off if you aren’t careful. The flint and steel part works almost flawlessly, the reshapen rube tool won’t work well, and the ceramic sharpening side similarly doesn’t produce much sparks with the flint, the reshapen part does work flawlessly when you get the hang of it. I’d recommend based on the price and small form factor but I’d love to see one that’s more designed for larger/thicker knives.
