There are a number of good small AM/FM radios available on Amazon, and this fits into that grouping. The Benss small radio does everything that you would expect it to. It's easy to use, tunes into the most powerful stations and has reasonable volume. I have no issues or concerns about this product.

Bought this at a special price of just £6.99 so wasn't expecting much. Opened the box and my initial reaction was what a compact, solid, well-built little radio for the price. Fitted batteries and switched on an initially OK. When I tried to alter volume or change frequency band, radio stopped working, or made a screeching noise, and then stopped. Power off and on again, sometimes would work, sometimes would work for a short while then went silent. As I am an engineer, I opened the back to have a look inside (2 little screws in the battery compartment, one behind the "made in China" sticker) Inside was a well made circuit board, but I spotted a screw meant to hold the circuit board in place had come loose and was floating around inside. I think the board was bending when I was altering the controls and the screw was shorting. I fitted the screw, went over some of the soldered joints with my soldering iron and re-assembled. This time, all was well. Its a great little radio with excellent reception on both FM and MW. Sound quality is good for its size. So, it's a fantastic buy at the price, IF you get one without faults!

Quite handy - easy to carry. reception & volume all ok. Price reasonable.

I'm happy with its overall performance compared to my previous transistor radios. Clear sound, easy tuning and compact size.
