Phenomenally simple and exceptionally well made ... PERFECT comes to mind. :)~
You will NEVER have to worry about losing your car cover in moderate to high winds with this kit. Innovative and doesn't require a college degree to install. Installs literally in seconds. The bungee cords supplied are seriously heavy duty! Install points: In front of front tires and behind rear tires once your car has been covered. I actually did this type install before I knew this kit was available. I put grommets (I had to cut holes in my cover) in the locations above and made my own bungee cords. My self install worked exceptionally well, HOWEVER, with this kit, again, it literally takes seconds to secure the cover over your car / SUV for moderate to high winds. I have two vehicles: A small roadster and an SUV. This kit is remarkable. I do not, nor have I ever used the center grommets that come on most covers to lock my cover to my cars. If you think someone is going to steal your car cover here is something to think about: All they need is a pair of scissors / knife / razor blade to bypass the locking systems on most car covers (just cut around the points that secure the lock cable to the cover. This kit is NOT an enhancement for keeping your car cover safe. The clips are similar to alligator clips (only plastic). These LOCK / CLAMP that grip tightly to the cover. Phenomenally simple and exceptionally well made. Nothing to rust or break. This is a permanent solution to your worries of keeping not only the car cover in place in moderate to heavier winds, but bird poop, sun fading, minor abrasions from passers-by, dust, paint over-spray or any airborne contaminants etc. from ever damaging your car's paint. I cannot recommend this kit high enough. Secondary thought: when the bungee cords are not securing the cover to your vehicle, they can be used for other purposes. They are exceptionally strong and well made.

Works as Advertised
I've got a Weathershield HD custom fitted car cover on a car that sits outdoors and the majority of the time it remains intact. That is, until we started getting higher wind gusts and the front part of the car became uncovered. The last thing I wanted to see is the car cover sitting on the neighbor's lawn. Simply put, this product is effective and works. Good design, simple to use and has kept the car cover secured even as wind gusts approached 45-50 mph. Enough wind to blow over my Weber grill, yet the car cover stayed put. My car cover has grommets towards the center, so in combination with this product, means it is secured on the front, mid-section, and rear. Would happily purchase again.

Very good, but did not last more than four (4) seasons.
Very good, but did not last more than four (4) seasons. I live in a very windy area and I have had the bungee cords in use for about 13 months. Pros: Very strong attachment. Easy to attach. All through the year, these bungee cords and clips stayed on the car cover, keeping it down with one (1) exception: very powerful winds caused one of the clips to rip through the car cover. All of the clips were still attached to the car cover, but part of the car cover (with a clip) had ripped away from the rest and the bungee cord snapped off. This left the car cover ripped and blowing in the wind. Fortunately, the other clips and bungee cord helped to keep the car cover from blowing away en totale. Of course, I had also used tent stakes to keep the car cover in place. Needless to say, I was impressed with the strength of the bungees and clips. I have had no problems attaching the clips to my car covers (yes, I have used more than one (1) car cover), even when it was a bit windy and cold enough to numb my fingertips. Cons: Bungee cords do not last longer than one (1) year. One of the bungee cords (holding the rear of the car cover down) came loose a week ago and allowed the car cover to blow over to the front of my car. The front bungee and a cable under the car kept the car cover from blowing away entirely. The bungee in the rear was longer than 6 feet, so I had to tie a knot in it to be able to keep the rear of the car cover down. I will need a new bungee. The bungee in the front of the car is longer than it was last year, but not too long to be of no use. Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend it to others.

ECONOMICAL and EFFECTIVE car cover anchor
These Work. Two sets of two plastic clips and two bungie cords. Don't let the word "plastic" scare you away, they are robust, hard plastic. The plastic clips are designed to increase pressure as you click through the little teeth until the grip is so tight on your car cover that you can't click further. Once they are on your car cover, they stay on. The eye of each clip is a generous-sized O that makes it easy to hook the bungie cord into without frustration (especially since you're usually groping without looking, after the first try). The bungie cords are good quality and just the right size for my mid-sized sedan (though I believe they would stretch across a suburban as well). Crouch down, put the hook in the eye of a clip on one side of the car, hold the cord firmly and stretch it as you crab to the other side to ease the hook into the eye of the opposite clip, and you're secure with a tight fit. The fact that they provide clips and cords for both ends of the car is a plus: I've come outside too many times to see my car looking like a girl with her skirt blown up, with the mid-car locking cord. This is neater and more thorough. I live by the curve where the Atlantic meets the East River, so we have some pretty hearty breezes, and we recently had 3 days of snow. My freshly-washed car sat through it all on the street, nicely tucked in against the weather. The snow melted off, the sun dried the cover, I rolled it up and put it in the trunk and drove off to run errands in my still-shiny, dry car. Really glad I bought this product. And such a deal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Situationally Good
Four plastic clips and two bungie cords. It's good once on but the clips are weak and want to pop off when putting it on. To attach them properly they need to rest against a thick seam or the cover needs to be very thin so they can cut in and get grip. If the covering is thick (aka a good cover) they won't grip unless they're sitting just so. Permanently attaching the clips is a better option - they aren't set up to be permanently attached. You can get better clips from camping supplies search screw tarp/tent clamps.

Great!
This is a great wind gust tie-down strap for an external car cover. I live in an area where wind gusts can reach up to 26 mph. I just checked the weather forecast and this is what is expected today, starting in an hour’s time and last up to 3 hours. Given the above scenario, I just went out and applied these straps. I gave a “great” review because when I was installing one of the first batch of straps, one of the black clothes-pin-like clamps broke - just one of them. I immediately reached out to Amazon and was promptly sent out a replacement. Since I installed this batch, it has been problem-free for me. I returned the defective batch to Amazon as they requested.

Do not hold up over time clips or the cords…
I agree with some of the other reviewers on here, I’ve had these for a few years now, the clips eventually break quickly (within a year), they start cracking, the company did send me out replacements at one point in time, which I appreciated, but the bungee cords also disintegrated very quickly. They didn’t last a couple of years in total. I did find another clip / cord system I’m going to try that has a screw based design, they also indicate that their plastic material is specifically UV resistant, they also indicate that they use higher quality rubber in their bungee cords, & that the rubber in the cords comes from Taiwan & not China & is also a thicker cord. I’m still waiting to receive those so only time will tell… But I have been very disappointed with these clips & cords since purchasing them.
