AP-T10FL Filter Replacement for Homedics Air Purifier Filter Replacement

If you have a pet, then you have pet dander and probably a musty smell you may have simply just gotten used to. We have a Corgi which means we have hair, hair and more hair everywhere and had a smell that came with it. This filter literally pulls the dander out of the air and reduces the smells and the allergens in our home. The first time you have to change the filter, you're not going to believe how utterly filthy the pet filter cartridge will be. These filters are a bit expensive compared to the normal air filters, but the first time you change the filter and see what you've been breathing in, you'll be telling everyone how good they are and worth the cost. You will begin to notice how clean the house smells after a couple of weeks too. When it's time to change your first filter, just put it in the garbage because you won't want to clean it, just replace it, because it's going to be filthy. Do clean the second one and use it again, then replace it too. We alternate between the pet and toxin absorber filters and have nearly eliminated runny noses, itchy burning eyes and sore throats, no guarantees that it'll do the same for you, but it's changed the air in our 3,500 Sq foot home and we are utilizing just two air purifiers with the pet filters plus our air conditioner with Merv 13 filters. The air is unbelievably clean, almost too clean, if that's possible.

These filters will draw dust from the air very quickly once being placed into use. I have found that they will need, initially, to be cleaned at a minimum of every two or three weeks at first. Do not wash these filters, they should be dry vacuumed, inside and outside and then take a slightly damp cloth and whip the inside of the filter. Be sure to do the same with the machine, after you have "Unplugged It." Our first filters didn't last longer than six or seven months, but after the first replacement and learning to clean them every few months, we were pleasantly surprised with how clean the air was and how the room seemed fresher. If you have a pet, spend a little extra and purchase the pet filter, it's worth twice the price and you and your pet will immediately notice the difference. The entire "trick" to these filters and the machines are to keep them clean, so they can perform at the level they are supposed to. I have started vacuuming the filters, I use can compressed air too and then taking a damp cloth and whipping between each of the vent folds. I have found that the filters are starting to last at least three or four months longer before the red light comes on for cleaning. We're starting to get fourteen or fifteen months out of the filters if we spend a little extra time and keep the filter and machine clean. The entire house (3600 sq ft), especially the master bedroom, smell so much cleaner and we are using only two machines. Less sneezing, less burning eyes, runny nose, sore throat, pet dander or having to dust. The effort of cleaning more at first, absolutely requires less cleaning later and you will notice how clean everything looks and smells.

That I would get these to replace the filters in my air filter but they're not the original ones they're knock-offs and you you can tell so I'm not pleased with them
