It works!!! I watched a couple of videos on how to take things apart that made it very easy. Total install took about 30 minutes. There wasn't a place to provide my VIN at checkout so I sent a message to the seller and they responded in less than 24 hours. There was also a small dent on the APIM, but at less than half the cost of the dealer, I don't even care. I will update my review if things change. Until then, I'm so glad to have a working stereo again!!

Worked great. Instruction manual was very small and hard to read but YouTube can help you out.

I purchased this unit in October 2023 and it was easy to install and worked great for approximately 8 months. After 8 months the screen displays a message every time I start my 2017 Ford Expedition that asks me to turn on the auto update feature and sync diagnostics. It also locks up when checking for updates and periodically locks up and only displays the reverse camera. I tried contacting this supplier and they will not return my calls. This may have worked great for some, but in case it did not. I would not recommend this product.

I was having issues where my sync3 would lose portions of its memory each time the truck was turned on (2019 F350 Platinum). I did a bunch of research which led me to replacing the APIM. I found this product on Amazon and decided to get it. Prime shipping so always fast but the one thing about this module, it has to be programmed (using forscan) to your specific vehicle. THe product came with instructions and a cell phone number that I used to text back and forth with the technician. They were very responsive and helpful. I didn’t have any issue with the install or programming but if I did, I feel confident they would be there to support their product! Thanks!

I ordered this module to upgrade a 2020 Ford Edge that I purchased used, without Navigation. It was a DIY project, and also an ongoing process. The Good News: There is a you tube video from another supplier that details accurately the installation process. I also purchased the trim removal tools to help myself. I’m pretty impressed that I was able to do this on my own. The Process: After installation, I contacted customer support because some features were not working. After providing my VIN number, he gave me the instructions to re flash the module with the correct calibration codes. I had to poke around in the Amazon App to find this, because I was previously unaware that there is a special place to communicate with your vendor here on Amazon. He directed me to download software to a laptop, and use the supplied USB to OBD-II connector to reflash the software using hexadecimal calibration codes he provided. Again, pretty impressed with myself. The Bad News: Sirius XM was not working. After a lot of back and forth with tech support, we determined that I had received the wrong module, 2018-2019, when I needed a 2020 module. I don’t know the “right” place to tell the vendor what kind of car you have when you purchase from Amazon, but they patiently and kindly identified the problem and sent me the correct module. I went through installation a second time, much faster that the first time, and now Sirius Radio and all other features work. The Question Mark: I am not receiving traffic updates on my navigation screen. This data comes from Sirius. I contacted Sirius, and their records show that my car was built without navigation. Since this is not a Ford factory sanctioned update, I don’t know if I will ever get the traffic maps I really wanted. Sirius says they have tried to update their system, but who knows.
