Glossy Gallery Rectangle Shatterproof Acrylic Safety Mirror with Rounded Corners - 12in x 48in

We needed a full length mirror in our travel trailer. This acrylic mirror is light weight and shatterproof. The bathroom door provided a solid flat surface that reduces distortion from the mirror warping. Very satisfied with this product.

I like that this mirror does not feel breakable like glass does. I like that it feels lighter and more rugged than a glass piece of this size would . I like the rounded sides. However after I opened the box it came in and removed the protective film I took a good look at the mirror. It seemed to have some defects. They are not major defects at this point and I think I will keep the mirror. But from the beginning I thought that the mirror was a bit too pricey for just a piece of reflective acrylic even though it was 12 inches by 48 inches in dimensions. Also from the beginning I had some misgivings about the long term durability. I have owned those small 'glass free" magnetic mirrors (about 4 inches by 3 and a half inches) and eventually they just develop scratches and fading of the reflective material even though I never exposed them to sharp objects nor have I "mis-used" the material in any way. I like those small glass-free magnetic mirrors and they are convenient so I have bought a few, but I figured that this larger acrylic mirror would be something of a version of those small magnetic mirrors and it would likely develop scratches and the reflective property would eventually fade at least in certain areas. Well when I received the GLOSSY GALLERY Rectangle Shatterproof Acrylic Safety Mirror I was so pleasantly surprised by how clear and bright the reflection was. It seemed clearer than that of a glass mirror. However after a few days I saw that there either had been some fading of the reflection and that there was a small piece of missing "mirror" material on one of the short edges. I had not done anything to the mirror that should cause this. It seems that the mirror should tolerate some rough handling (nothing really abusive of course) without this happening. I think I will contact the manufacturer and tell them that I think they are selling the mirror for too much money considering that the mirror is not as rugged as it should be for the price. In certain ways this type of mirror is more fragile than a regular glass mirror. It seemingly won't shatter or break like glass would but the reflective properties may be sensitive and may fade with a certain amount of time or maybe if you just grab it to place on the wall etc. I would recommend it and yet I would say that it depends if you need it to look perfect, or if you would mind that it seems to develop some abrasions rather easily or in a short amount of time. I don't know if other customers have experienced this with this mirror. I will update this post according to how the mirror and its reflection lasts or if there is anything else I think potential customers should know.

It was exactly what I was looking for, bit more expensive than I was hoping for but worked out great!
