This is a very good and sturdy hose reel. My only complaint is the difficulty attaching it to the house. It would be better if it would detach from the mounting bracket. Overall, it retracts very well and without issues. The nozzle provided is pretty decent for my usage. It has a nice appearance that kind of blends in with my house.

I am changing my rating to 5 stars for this company’s outstanding customer support! They are honoring their 2-year warranty and replacing the assembly! ————- We initially liked the retractable hose. It is long and retracts easily. However, in less than a year, the hose is failing. It is not durable. It blisters and bulges and prevents water from flowing. I have left a voice message because no one answers the phone number listed on their website, but doubt my call will be returned. The photos show the bulges, but when under pressure, they are much larger — about an inch and a half wide.

I’ve had this Giraffe Tools Retractable Garden Hose Reel mounted on my porch for just under a year now and I’m overall very happy with it. Mounting was super easy I attached it to a wooden porch support post and the included hardware worked perfectly. Took maybe 15 minutes total with a drill and level — no issues at all. The swivel feature is excellent. The whole reel turns smoothly so the hose doesn’t get twisted or kinked no matter which direction I’m watering. That’s a big convenience I didn’t realize I needed until I had it. The retraction mechanism works really well too. The hose pulls out smoothly and retracts neatly without any tangling or fighting me. It’s satisfying to use. The 100ft hose length is more than enough for my yard and garden beds. I can easily reach every corner of my property without dragging around a heavy hose. The only real downside is the spray gun that comes with it. It feels cheaper than the rest of the reel and unfortunately cracked after one season of regular use. I just replaced it with a better one and the reel itself continues to work great. Overall this is a nicely built hose reel — sturdy, well-designed, and reliable. I’d still recommend it, especially if you plan to upgrade the nozzle anyway. Definitely a 4-star product for me.

Easy install, durable, great flow. Takes away from back breaking, time consuming hose wrangling. Money well spent.

Working good but not great, it's pull back function sometimes pulls back hose when I need it to stop. My main complain is about the nozzle - my broke and start leaking after half a year. They sent me a replacement and now second one start leaking too - broken plastic inside the nozzle. Just replaced with Walmart no brand one. Company should be ashamed of putting such low quality "Giraffe" branded nozzle on good in the general product.

Customer service was perfect with the return. Unfortunately, the retractable piece and winding broke, but it was easily replaced....THANK YOU CHASSY!!!!

Appears to be a quality item and very compact out of the way hose reel. Got the 1/2 inch hose, it was all I needed. No problems yet, heard of problems kinking when retracting but go slow and manage the speed. Would buy again.

Works as advertised, my first order was damaged but Giraffe quickly addressed the issue and sent a replacement. I really appreciate their responsiveness to correct the issue. Seems to be built with quality. My only negative is the low water pressure it delivers but I assume that has more to do with the length of the hose. Overall a solid product and great customer service.

Nice replacement for my old wind up hose reel.

Hose is ok and easy enough to install but the supplied bolts and especially the supplied anchors were terrible. The anchors wouldn’t tighten I had to go out and buy my own for another $30 on top of this. Really disappointed for such an expensive hose EDIT: then company reached out to me on their own accord and gave me a really fair and viable resolution so I have upped the review with this in consideration.
