Sabatino Truffles Truffle Holiday Set

Bought it for my mom who loves truffles, was a great gift.

Got lured into ordering this after Oprah used Truffle Zest on her eggs when cooking with Colbert on Late Night. Truffle Salt has some specs of truffle, but is highly scented and definitely truffle flavored, so actually using that more than the Zest for "2-fer" simplicity. Truffle Zest is just as true flavored and is very tasty, but larger holes in shaker top result in a clumpy sprinkle, so think that I'll transfer it to jar with finer screen for more evenly distribution and better appearance. We eat with our eyes, too, right? For those who hadn't ever eaten truffles, like The Husband, these products do have a strong scent that you might like less than the flavor.

Delicious stuff, but only after I purchased this did I realize that Sabatino isn't the only one who makes "truffle zest." It's also sold generically (and much cheaper) as "truffle dust" at my local Fred Meyer.

This stuff smells awesome. Not only does it smell good but it tastes good as well. I have been using the salt more than the zest. The salt is really good on popcorn, it's become my new favorite topping. Next I want to get some of the oils. I will definitely keep ordering this product.

The product arrived in a torn and ragged package, with large holes, making it unusable. As a "Holiday Set" I would expect to be able to give the gift in the sack in which it is packaged together.

DELICIOUS!!!!!!Want to add a little truffle zest to your dish, this is delicious. It makes a great gift for anyone who loves truffles. It comes with the zest and salt and both are oh so yummy.
