100% Pure Amla Herbal Powder, 100 Gram

I have naturally mousy brown hair, and used to get a level 5 permanent color in the salon to darken it and make it look richer. Since I'm trying to detox, I figured I'd give henna a shot. First I checked out hennaforhair.com/mixes/ and chose a "recipe" using a one step process for "easy brunette" hair, consisting of henna, indigo, and alma. I bought this because it was 100% pure. The mix smelled like canned spinach and was the texture of mud; luckily I was prepared for that because I researched the process well in advance. Put it in my hair, wrapped it, wore it around the house for 5 hours, and the color was great. A dark chocolate brown with subtle red undertones. Grays a sparkly red highlight. Pro-tip: Do NOT shampoo this out. Rinse really well, then use a conditioner to wet comb, and rinse really well again. Henna cleans your scalp. It smells awful when wet for a good week after (ugh), but smells like sweet freshly cut grass when dry (yay). I use ACV rinse, so I don't know if regular shampoo/conditioner will mask that.

I read that Amal was great for all types of hair, including natural ... As an AA woman with 4C natural hair, I was skeptic but bought it anyway ... This worked great on my hair! I mixed it with henna, hot water, coconut and almond oil and it covered all my Grey hair and gave my hair a healthy shine!

This was my first time using Henna, which I mixed with Indigo and Amla powder. I absolutely love it! I was not trying to color my hair as much as I was doing a healthy treatment to strengthen and lengthen my hair. I do have some color, but it is just a richer version of my natural color. This will be a part of my beauty routine!

I used hannah and indigo before and know how it use to feel for my hair, nothing even close with this product-there is no color, no treatment, waste of time... good part it was not much of a cost for this product.

henna always was too orange on my hair..mixing this amla with the henna toned it down and its more brown. I would definitely be using this again

The powder of so called henna does not look like henna, does not smell like henna. I did not understand what its purpose is. It does not dye hair - that is for sure neither after 2 hours, nor after 4. I am happy i did not loose my hair after using it. and i was not able to order just one pack - you must make an order for $25. I want to return it and never buy anything from this company again. I lost $9 on shipping.
