A great set of bags for large items
These are huge. Really great quality bags that hold a lot. I put a queen bed set and 2 pillows in one bag and was amazed they fit with room to spare. The hand pump does take a while but works great.

Took a jumbo king comforter and pancaked it, sort of.
Just got these and was able to super shrink both of my king size jumbo heavy duty sherpa comforters into movable and stackable pads. A feat in and of itself, considering, even rolled up they had to be pushed into bag by two men. Having heard about how the air retention is a problem, or that the bags are not thick enough, I realized the issue being: in order to seal the bags, some air has to be taken out as you seal. Totally a two person job. This is how it worked for me: Fold in half whatever bulky item you have, then, roll it into another half vertically. Or you could just wad it up, like say, a huge boulder, and try to slam dunk it into bag. I didn't, and I'm the type that would have. Anyway, then get the bag open, and sort of slide the item into it, inching it along. Then, for heavy items, you'll have to push in the ends, and have someone drape themselves atop the bag so the zip closure aligns. Then, place vacuum over nozzle (remove cap) and take out a little air, while simultaneously pressing the zip closure shut. The pre vacuum should allow for it to zip closed easier. Then when it's perfectly closed (you'll need to press securely and then press side to side) you put the vacuum again over the spout and let fly. All the air leaves the bag, the zip closure gets sealed along with whatever is in the bag, and as it gets the air taken out, you push your fists into the bag, to kneed the air pockets out, assisting the trusty vaccume. There is no easy anything, it's simple but requires the assistance of two people. The size of the jumbo bag was big enough to hold a super jumbo comforter so if you want it for jackets, bedding or say, ahem, a quarter million dollars in $20's, you should be fine. Anything beyond this you'll need bigger bags. The finished bag should look like a pack of baby rhino's trampled it flat. The hose should be kept in place for a good half minute, even after the air has been suctioned out (to the eye), because once you remove vacuum nozzle, the bag will start to inflate until you put the cap on. While I wouldn't say the bags are water proof, I would say they are water resistant. Mildew needs air, so I'd say, if they remain sealed, mildew resistant bags as well. I hesitated buying these bags. But necessity drove me to act, I mean, how many comforters can I keep in closet in contractor bags? The ease of this (relative ease as opposed to easy) made me think of shrinking my great coat, some leather jackets, some wool, my boots and the 2k pairs of socks I own because I'm obviously neurotic like that. I won't but I could, and that's what counts. You can too. I say go for it. Give the bag a shot. It may leak air in time, but that's easily solved with another vacuum nozzle go. For the price point and quality, I recommend. At the end of the day, they aren't military grade or anything truly heavy duty, but who has anything laying around the house that needs it?

Good. Don't like the thicker plastic but they work and I recommend them.
Bags are good. Not crazy about the plastic it's rather stiff but it works. The only complaint I have is that it's very difficult to completely seal the bag. Make certain you run your fingers across both lines of seal to ensure it is completely closed. It comes with these luttle clips to aid in keeping it sealed which is nice. The pump that came with it isn't great actually it's not even good. I tried to use it a little bit and the amount of air it was withdrawing was minimal. I didn't have the patience for it so I got my vacuum cleaner out and use the hose which went very quickly. I seal the two bags in the picture about a week ago and they're still exactly as I left them. No air leakage. I recommend these.

Great Quality Vacuum Bags That Last and Save Space!
I’m so glad I found these Roomier Jumbo Vacuum Storage Bags! They come in several sizes, so I can use them for everything from clothes to blankets and even bedding. Each bag is super sturdy and holds up really well, even after multiple uses. These are not the flimsy bags you sometimes find—they're made to last! The vacuum seal works like a charm and shrinks everything down to a fraction of its original size. That means I can fit so much more in my closet and drawers, and everything stays protected from dust, moisture, and odors. They're also reusable, which makes them even better—no need to keep buying new ones every season! If you're looking for a reliable and easy way to store your seasonal clothes, extra bedding, or just declutter your home, I highly recommend these vacuum storage bags. They’re durable, efficient, and save you so much space!

Space saving product!
I was able to fit two queen-size comforters and a blanket into one bag. Easy to use. I am excited about this product; it created more space under my bed, and it made it neater. Thank you! I have 8 bags left and I'm eager to use them!

Not for elders.
Very hard to seal the so-called zipper. If you do not have a vacuum with a hose, it is very hard to get the air out with the hand pump. Otherwise it is a great idea if there is a young person who can handle it. Just a bit too much for an octogenarian.

Have tried quite a few vacuum bag brands. These are the worst. They do not stay sealed. Not even for a day. Do not recommend. Had to use because we're moving otherwise would have returned. Had to tape them up to maintain compact size. Stay away.
