Diablo: The Sanctuary Tarot Deck and Guidebook

I ordered this with ZERO interest in tarot nonsense. However, I am very much interested in art books and game art, and this pack absolutely blew my mind. The quality is just amazing. It comes with a sturdy box, a complete set of 78 cards, and a 96-page illustrated guidebook. The cards are not the size of normal playing cards though. They are almost 2x the size, which makes the artwork much easier to appreciate. The oversized format really works here because the cards feel more like collectible art pieces than something you would casually shuffle. The artwork is absolutely stunning. This is not just a cheap Diablo-themed reskin of a tarot deck. The cards were created with the Diablo universe in mind, with artwork from artists including Konstantin Vavilov and Igor Sidorenko, along with other contributors. The set does a great job of translating the characters, creatures, and atmosphere of Sanctuary into the tarot format. The print quality is excellent, and the details really stand out. Even if you have zero interest in actually using tarot cards, this is easily worth the price for Diablo fans, collectors, and anyone who appreciates fantasy artwork. This could easily be a Diablo concept art book on its own.

this deck is not what i thought i would be into. it is from a role player game that i have never played. yet the story about the world the game is set in is compelling. after viewing a walk through & review of the deck on youtube, i purchased two deck. this one & one other. this one turnt out to be the keeper. the cards are ahmazing! filled with greys, silvers, blacks & pops of crimson red. even without being familiar with the rpg this deck is from, i can still understand the visuals on each card enough to do a good reading. the accompanying box is well illustrated, sturdy & just great to look at. the box has a magnetic closure with a red ribbon inside for ease of card removal. however, the card stock is a bit flimsy so it might not be ideal for constant use because that might make cards chip. the cards themselves are stunningly illustrated all through the minors so this is an rws deck. the cards are a riot of inky blacks, deathly whites & somber greys with punches of crimson reds that look as if the reds have been embossed onto the cards. it's really stunning! other cons include: the cards are quite large. just slightly larger than an oracle card deck so those with smaller hands might find shuffling this one challenging. & this is not a beginner's deck. yes, the images are readable but preferably after a tonne of study time with the cards & they are not edged. i get it. edging can be expensive & price the deck out of most people's reach. & crimson metallic or matte edging would;ve been a treat. in any case, it's cool deck & a wonderful edition to my collection. this deck is ideal for spooky season (which is forthcoming)

I love this deck so much. It's so well done and beautiful. And the guidebook is good also. It seems that they really cared in putting together this set. It's done so well! I should have paid attention to the dimensions tho. The cards are so large that I cannot figure out a way to shuffle them. I even had my 6'5 husband try. He couldn't either. They are just too big. I really want to read with them and try out the spread the guidebook has. But I can't. I hope to figure out a way to use this deck because otherwise I really like it. But for the awkward cards I cannot give it the 5 star rating it should deserve. Update - I realized that riffle shuffling isn't the only way to mix cards. I'll just overhand shuffle them. Maybe I should do that to more of my decks anyway. I can handle that. Changing my review from 4 stars to 5.

No, really. It's massive. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I just have small hands. The cards are absolutely gorgeous. Because it's so big, it's super easy on my eyes, which is a bonus. I'm not sure how I feel, yet, about the quality of the card stock. That said, this is my favorite game franchise ever, so even if the card stock ends up sucking, I will still love this deck. I will likely move this into my regular rotation. If you love this game, you will probably love this deck, even if you don't work with it often. The artwork, alone, is worth the price for me. So there's that.

I’m so glad I caved and purchased these. Awesome deck. Nice sturdy card stock, the artwork is excellent and the red foil frame sets it off just right. The reviewer photos don’t do it justice. If you’re on the fence, I recommend to definitely do it.

I saw the aesthetic and bought it without reading the description. Found out that it’s themed after a game, and although I know nothing about the game, I like this deck and happy I got it. I like how the box opens, the cards are bigger than normal cards & have pretty cool illustrations, and the book is nice as well with meanings being a little more cutthroat compared to usual meanings and based on the first and only time I’ve used the deck so far. Plus, out of the box the cards were easy to deal with. NOTE: The mat did not come with the deck.

I love this set. The cards have a great, quality feel to them. Nice weight and exceptional art work. Even the box itself looks and feel pretty high quality. My only complaint about the cards themselves is that they are a bit bigger than you might be lead to believe from the photos. Not a problem for me, just something to consider for yourself when thinking about the purchase. The package was delivered quickly and on time but the actual box the cards come packed it was damaged on one corner. Not the delivery box, the actual card box. I had so much goin on at the time that I didn’t think to reach out about it so I don’t know if the seller could have assisted me or not, but this would really be the only think knocking a star off for me. Otherwise a 5 star product.

It's BIG and hard to shuffle if you have a small hand. But the material and the paintings are glorious 😍 My only one complaint that the corners of the box itself was a little bit bent and scratched. Anything is just perfect and the book is very simple, yet very informative. I'll rate it 8.5/10 😌
