Great workshop speaker.

I’m a fan of Klein Tools going way back to my days as a professional utility worker. Since I’ve retired I spend a lot of time working in my garage on old cars as well as helping my kids with their home improvement projects. This little speaker is always by my side streaming music or the news. The sound from such a small speaker is really outstanding, but my real love is the heavy magnetic mount. I’ve stuck it to cars, metal studs, tool boxes and even the refrigerator! Klein Tools makes several models of this speaker, but for me the built in magnet sold me on this model. While other reviews say the sound quality of the bass is kind of weak, attaching the speaker to and surface creates a “boom box” which amplifies the bass range. I’ve had no issues with Bluetooth hookups or drop offs and the speaker lasts all day on a charge at a normal listening level. Like I said, I love this thing!

People claim it rusts fast etc etc; I dunno what caustic environments those people keep theirs in, but after three years in my shower mine only has a little rust on one of the screws on the face. The battery life is absurd, I've not charged it in at least six months and it's still at 70%... and I tend to take a while in there. It also sounds really good for an inexpensive little bluetooth el-cheapo speaker, much much better than I expected given the price and some of the reviews that were here at the time. To be music nerdy about it, it has a surprisingly good sound stage for a turdly little thing designed to be kicked around. Now.... if you wanna use it in a workshop or job site? Forget it. It doesn't get loud enough. That's why it's even in the bathroom: it was just too quiet even with my phone and it both maxed out to hear over much of anything tool-wise, even in my rather light duty workshop.

I mostly think this is a very good job site speaker. It’s small enough to fit practically anywhere, and it has a very strong magnetic base that gives it a good deal of versatility. The battery life is decent. It claims to be built to withstand a drop of over six feet, and I believe it. It feels very solid. My only issue is that the sound quality really isn’t that great. I don’t know how to best communicate the sound quality to you, but I would say it’s probably the halfway point between the speaker built into my iPhone 7, and an actual high quality speaker. This isn’t hard to beat in sound quality, but if you need a durable and convenient job site speaker, this may be a good option. I certainly don’t regret getting it.

Love the magnetic feature. Very clear sound no matter how loud it is. Hubby uses it mostly for work and it firmly attaches to the tower.

Excellent battery life, loud enough for for the size.

Bought this for golf. Mounts to the cart frame without issue. Sounds decent for the size. Good battery life, I rarely have to worry about charging it. A little pricey but it seems to be high quality.

I bought this to use on a site where I was working alone in small rooms, and I couldn't be bothered carting around my big site radio. So far I've been more than happy with it. It's plenty loud enough, and the battery lasted me a couple of days at a medium volume. It feels well built too, so should survive ok on a building site.

This little speaker is great. I actually own two of them. They're heavy duty, sound great, and the battery will last all day. On top of using it around the house, and in the shop, I also use it in some of my pieces of heavy equipment that dont have a bluetooth radio in them. The magnet base makes it easy to place and holds it well in the cab. Its a little more money than some other bluetooth speakers, but worth it.
