Works fine for me. The biggest drawback is the length. For a laptop I think you normally want a longer cord. Less than 6 feet kind of tethers you to the wall. But I have not found a longer one available anywhere so this is the best thing available, I think.

Works as intended on 2 Dell Laptops. I am going to use this while boon docking won't have 120v for my standard ac adapters.

When plugged into an Anker nano II (65W) it properly charges my Dell Latitude E6330 without any issues. If I try the same on my Dell Latitude E6440 it shows it’s charging for a split second and then quits. It also fails to power my Dell Precision 7560 with the same 65w brick. After troubleshooting I came to discover the cable shows the PC it’s a 90w power adapter (at least with the config listed above) so I assume the latter 2 dells failed to charge because of a power spike past 65w because the laptop assumed it could grab 90w of power… I will be purchasing a 100+W power adapter and will update if the E6440 starts charging. A little disappointed but not surprised after seeing what the cables limits are. Build quality is decent. [UPDATE 12/2/2022] I purchased a 100w GaN charger and now this cable this charges the Dell E6440 and the Dell Precision 7560 correctly. Bringing review up to 4 stars

Works flawlessly when paired with a 100w PD power supply. Now I can carry this and a small charger that takes care of everything.

Using with Dell Latitude E7470, chager Anker 100W USB C Charger, 736 Charger (Nano II 100W). Update: this cable can actually die, if you're accidentally discharge static charge from yourself by touching it.

Considering this mimics the standard Dell 7.4x5.0mm charging cable, and the level of success others have had with it in regards to similar laptops, I figured it would function flawlessly. Plugged into the Anker 140W GaN Laptop Charger, no charging occured regardless of the configuration I had it in, rendering this cable incompatible with my Dell Latitude 5590. Despite this, I'll still rate it 2 stars due to the build quality and the tightness at which it stayed in my laptop charging port. Packaging was minimal, making the unboxing process painless. Considering the price point of other cables that accomplish the same thing, this one sits at a pretty high point.

It works perfectly for charging my Dell G15 5115 laptop! I like being able to bring this instead of my heavy charger for travelling.

Wanted to significantly cut down on the bulk of my old HP laptop by eliminating the need for the massive stock one and instead running on the usb charger I already carry. This did the job! As expected, the laptop believes it can draw only up to 90W on this, rather than the full 120W of the original brick, because this cable is of course capped at 100W, and must emulate the signal from a known HP charger, which only exist in certain wattages, the highest sub-100W one of which being 90W. Depending on how hard you push your hardware (GPU etc.) that may or may not pose a problem. It may also cause the CPU to default to a lower speed, but this can be overridden. If you still have a working battery, it should smooth out any spikes but I run without one entirely. For those curious, unlike this cable that can simply feed the USB power in directly, they cannot simply make an (affordable) 240W cable that gets around this 90 W limitation. Unlike the original 18.5V x 6.5A charger, USB is capped to 5A, so hitting 240W would require higher voltage from the USB supply which cannot be directly fed into a laptop expecting less. While possible to make this work, it would need a built-in DC-DC converter which would be expensive and hot.

I was skeptical as I didn't want to fry my laptop. But ordered one and tested it first with multimeter. It's 20v exact with PD charger. The old dell laptop I'm using it is XPS L502x which uses 130w power supply and this cable only supports 100w (and my laptop was not listed in their description, but ordered it anyway as it only results in slow battery charging) but laptop runs perfectly fine no performance loss. Cable quality (including cable itself and the connectors) is very good.

Works for Alienware M15 R5 Ryzen Edition Laptop. Using it with 100W Anker charger and it works perfectly fine. Exactly what I was looking for.

These cables have chips inside that will negotiate a 20V output from the USB-C port (only if the power bank/hub supports it of course, otherwise you will get no output). And so, you would then get 20V at 5A max at the barrel plug which you can use for charging older 19/19.5/20V laptops, tablets etc, which don't natively support USB-C charging. Very good use of USB-PD 3.1. One of my older Dell laptops detects this as a lower grade 90W charger, only because it's meant to work with its original 130W AC adapter. So, battery charging rate is greatly reduced, but this is normal. Still enough to run the laptop.
