It is very good, even my husband likes it and he isn't a fan of fruit cake, I'm very glad to find a good one and don't have to bother with others.

I think fruitcake must be totally subjective depending on one's upbringing. But for me, this was as close as one can get to my grandma's recipe without her still being here. For me it was missing brazil nuts and dates. But that is just our family recipe, right? Otherwise, it was delicious. Rich. Heavy. Dense. Laden with candied fruit. A little slice goes a long way. It is really nostalgic.

Makes a good gift when visiting. Delicious, albeit very sweet, treat for a desert with tea or coffee. Can be frozen and eaten weeks later.
