I totally missed this, and I hope you don’t. What makes it worse for me is that I also missed the return window. I’m a big fan of Orei gear and already own a few of their HDMI switches, which have generally worked very well. Build quality is solid, performance is reliable, and Orei usually delivers great value for money. That said, the UHDS-402A has one limitation that really matters in my setup: there is no HDMI-CEC passthrough. In practice, that means my Apple TV cannot detect HDMI-CEC support when connected through this switch. On the Apple TV, the “Control TVs and Receivers” option is greyed out, so it cannot power on/off or control volume for my TV and soundbar as it does when connected directly. For anyone who relies on Apple TV as the main media hub (like me), this is a real drawback. That said, if you’re happy switching your devices on and off independently (rather than letting Apple TV do it for you), the UHDS-402A will serve you well. It handles 4K video, HDR, and audio extraction properly — no complaints there. But without CEC passthrough, integration with devices like Apple TV, LG TVs, and LG soundbars just isn’t complete.

Finding a solid solution that allows you seamlessly switch between multiple mediums across different monitors can be a tricky endeavour. Amongst my search, OREI regularly came up as a solid brand to turn to for such a task. The OREI 4K HDMI Matrix is a great quality option for those looking to seamlessly switch between multiple game consoles and work peripherals without the hassle. Have a PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and a PC? This'll work. Want to display a game to one monitor, and the other featuring OBS to download directly to your PC capture card? You can do that, it's very versatile in that regard/ Orei's videos are also a great guide to help me decide what type of HDMI product was right for me. However, if you are looking to use a laptop to extend its display rather than mirroring it, you should consider the SplitExtend or an equivalent product. An important factor to take into consideration is the plug itself and the power-bank itself. It faces upwards when plugged into a wall, or inwards when in an extension lead. You'll most likely have one of these if your planning multiple systems in the same set up. I would advise getting a single row rather than those dual ones, as this will actually take up two spaces because of the direction the plug is facing. And while it boasts resolutions up to 4K at 60hz, it is also a solid option for those working with systems at the lower end towards 1080p, even if it is on the pricier end of things for that resolution. I've had it for a couple of months now, and where so many others have given up on me at this point, the OREI 4K HDMI Matrix is still going strong - which is telling of its quality.

I purchased this 4x2 Orei Matrix Switcher because I have recently purchased an Xbox Series X, and my old HDMI switch (5x1) that I had would only support up to 30Hz at 4K. My TV only supports up to 60Hz, so this HDMI switch sounded ideal without spending too much. I have a computer screen nearby my TV to work from home and now we have two Xboxes, so this HDMI switch enables both screens to be used for any of the connected devices. I am very happy with this as before I was having to unplug from one screen to plug into the other which was annoying. My setup (in case anyone is unsure of how to connect up): Output A - Main TV Output B - Secondary TV (PC Monitor) Input 1 - Blu-ray Player (with 5.1 Surround Sound) Input 2 - Xbox Series X (my Xbox) Input 3 - Xbox Series X (the wife's Xbox) Input 4 - Nintendo Switch Optical - To the same Blu-ray player in Input 1 optical port It is worth noting, when only the one Xbox is on and on the main TV, it comes out in 4K but when both screens are on, the quality reverts to that of the lower spec screen (in my case the 1080p computer monitor). If both screens were 4K@60Hz though, I'm sure it would be up to the task. The sound and picture quality live up to the expectations. The only downside to this device is now I only have 4 ports rather than 5, In hindsight Orei do sell a 6x2 Matrix, but the price difference was a fair bit so I didn't go for it. To futureproof maybe that's what I should have done but never mind. The build quality of the unit is very good. It was definitely heavier than I thought it would be and feels good quality. There have been comments that the remote feels cheap, I feel that is a little unjust, it may not be as good as a Samsung or Sony TV remote, but it feels sturdy enough, and you can always change source on the unit itself. The only button lacking on the unit itself is a power button. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, it is very easy to use and would recommend this one to those unsure of what switch to go for that don't want to break the bank.

Try as I might, I cannot get this working. It simply does not transmit the HDMI signal from my computers or PS5 to my monitors. Looks great on paper but sucks in practice. I've past the return window so I can't return it, so I guess it's going in the trash. Total waste of money.

Works okay most of the time, but makes a real mess of the signal when trying to send FHD to a 4k screen. Also doesn't always get the EDID right, resulting in the picture running over the edges of the screen or being a small picture in one corner.

Purchase this item after trying another companies matrix with Audio extract. The main thing I can say is that this product worked and I am now able to display on either TV or Projector (or both) with Audio going to a SONOS ARC. I used a separate audio 2 into 1 for the ARC but all works perfectly and no longer need to unplug and reconnect cables.

I use this to connect two monitors to a laptop, Apple TV, Nintendo Switch, and PS4. I’ve been using it for a few months and have had no issues!

Purchased this Orei, because the cheaper no-name brand I bought was having port problems within weeks. I have good faith in this Orei, I only just hooked it up a day ago because I just received it so I cannot speak for its longevity, but I own a Orei splitter that I’ve had for seven years now and never had one single problem with. This product is well built, solid, a screw lock to the power cord so it cannot be unplugged from the unit by mistake and has an on off button; which I really like because I think that saves wear and tear on the product overtime. It hooked up to my system with not a single problem a very nice remote control that seems to be more powerful than most that come with other brands. As of now I am extremely happy and impressed especially with the solid build of the unit. Only time will tell but as I said my prior Orei purchase seven years ago on another product has been fantastic. I actually would have purchase this over the offbrand that crapped out on me within weeks to months, But I was patiently waiting for a sale price. Had this product just shy of two months, working absolutely Flawless, just like their other product that I purchased many years ago.

Die Matrix ist an sich klasse; soweit ich das beurteilen kann. Die LEDs sind ziemlich grell. Mein größtes Problem jedoch war die fehlende Auflösung für den Ultrawide Screen 2560 x 1080. Der hat mein Bild einfach mal auf 1920 x 1080 reduziert.

Je l'ai achetée afin de pouvoir switcher 4 entrées HDMI distinctes (une Nintendo Wii, une NVIDIA Shield Pro et les 2 sorties d'un ordinateur dual-screen), indépendamment l'une des autres sur 2 vidéo-projecteurs distincts) => ça a fonctionné à merveille dès le premier coup et le résultat sortant des 2 vidéo-projecteur en // est superbe :) :) (on peut même avoir la même entrée HDMI sur les 2 sorties HDMI en même temps, cad afficher l'image de seulement une des entrées sur les 2 sorties en même temps, cf. n'importe quelle entrée sur n'importe quelle sortie = c'est une vraie matrice HDMI complête **ET** de bonne qualité) Le top serait de pouvoir faire croire sur l'une des entrées HDMI que la définition maximale en sortie serait la somme des 2 sorties HDMI disponibles, cf. 2 écrans HD en 1920x1080 horizontalement mis l'un à côté de l'autre donnerait du 3840 x 1080 , ou 2 écrans HD mis l'un au dessus de l'autre donneraient 1920 x 2160, mais cela ne semble pas y avoir été prévu :( => m'enfin bon, il ne faut pas être plus royaliste que le roi : pour son prix d'à peine plus de 100 euros, c'est une bonne matrice HDMI 4K 4 entrées / 2 sorties qui offre un rapport qualité/prix carrément exceptionnelle, en plus d'une simplicité d'utilisation elle aussi exceptionnel, cf. je le recommande très fortement, tant pour son prix que pour ses qualités
