these or the beyerdynamic T1 2nd ? which ones have the best, most faithful audio ? or are there better headphones on the $ 900 ? advice ?

It depends on your application and preference, I am assuming by faithful you mean studio reference. Honestly there is no "best" in audio, its all preference and you  will never know until you hear them all on which you prefer, and even then with time your preferences might change, for example a headphone might sound better to you in a  direct comparison at first, but over time it can become fatiguing. Different companies advertise certain models  as" reference" and for studio use, as in they are faithful to the recording as you seek,  yet they all sound different,. For example beyerdynamic  advertises the DT 1990 PRO as their  faithful studio reference and Audeze the LCD-X, yet both these headphones sound extremely different.

Sound people find the beyerdynamic sound a little bright, so the Audeze LCD-X has a warmer presentation that you might prefer, and the Sennheiser HD 660s is another option.

Question 2

Can these fit someone with a larg(er) head comfortably? I have HD560 now that fit me well.

I also  have the HD650 - nice headphones.  I have a bigger head and find that the BD Amiton Home headphones fit me perfectly with room to spare.   I love these both acoustically  and comfort-wise.

I haven't seen them on Amazon, but Beyerdynamic sells three cables for the Amiron Home on their website:  a 3 meter balanced cable with XLR connectors,  a 3 meter with regular 3.5 and 1/4 inch connectors (looks like original replacement cable) and a shorter 1.4 meter cable with 3.5mm and 1/4 inch connectors.   I really like my Amiron Homes - have had them for about six months now, excellent soundstage, superb definition without being too edgy in highs or booming in lows.

From my perspective, yes. I have the HE560 which are a definite upgrade from the 400i and the Amiron perform better than the HE560 on many levels.
