Why is the water dark or speckled at first?

That's loose charcoal dust from a new filter. Soak it in fresh water for 5 minutes and rinse it under running water for 60 seconds before use. If you still see specks, rinse a little longer.

Will these filters fit my Keurig?

They fit Keurig brewers that use a water filter holder in the reservoir, such as K-Supreme, K-Slim, K-Express, K-Classic, K-Elite, K-Select, K-Café and K-Duo. K-Mini and K-Mini Plus have no holder.

My brewer has no filter holder. What do I need?

Choose a GoodCups starter kit with a holder and 12 filters: the tall holder fits side-mounted reservoirs, the short one fits rear-mounted reservoirs under 8 inches tall.

Brewing is slow or the reservoir leaks. What should I check?

Make sure the filter is fully seated and the holder snaps shut, then press the holder all the way down into the reservoir. Replace any filter older than 2 months.

Does the filter remove limescale?

No. The charcoal filter is for better-tasting water and doesn't replace descaling. Keep descaling your brewer every 3 months, for example with GoodCups Coffee Machine Descaler.
