Carhartt Men's Quilted Flannel Lined Duck Active Jacket J140

Keeps me warm is wind proof and looks good.

This is the legendary J140 Active Jacket, made in the US from imported parts. It's a superb jacket, very well made and warm. A couple of points to note - this is not the same as the Active Jacket sold from the official Carhartt store here in the UK. That version is slightly different to this J140 - compared to the UK store version, this does not have - 3M Thinsulate lining, so less bulky than the J140 Hidden rib knit cuffs with cordura reinforced sleeve The hand pockets are not lined The hood drawstrings are external instead of internal Washed duck instead of firm duck which is unwashed so is more stiff when new. If you like what Carhartt have done with the update,then buy the newer version, if you prefer the OG, then this is for you. I wanted the OG so purchased this over the newer version.

The fitting is exactly as described: loose. If you want a fitting similar to a Detroit jacket, order one size down to get that relaxed fit. The outer layer is FIRM duck, and much firmer than it of a washed duck layer.

- Very Nice Navy Blue Color with Gold Zipper - Very High Quality Zipper - Deep Front pockets, unlined but still keeps hands warm - 2 inner pockets ( One zippered, one with Velcro) - Slightly Baggier in the sleeves than expected but is nice to double up a sweater without feeling tight in the arms - Waist and Hand Collars are very nice to help prevent wind - Haven’t has full winter here yet but the cold mornings so far have been a breeze with this jacket. Very warm - Large hood and still very crisp, needs to be broken in -Seems very Durable Would Recommend to anyone looking for a nice Work Jacket or any jacket. Very Happy with this Product.

So Carhartt can be a beat pricey, but honestly their products are worth every penny. I wanted a winter jacket that I could do some work on cars with and not worry about damaging the jacket but still stay warm in the barn where I work. This jacket does everything I could want and more. The outside is durable and won't tear or stain easily. The inside is like being wrapped up in your own personal quilt. The zippers and stitching are tough and strong. Not only is this jacket built to last, it's built to keep you warm no matter the conditions. Spent some time out doing work in sub-zero weather and stayed perfectly warm. Not even harsh strong winds get through this thing. It baffles me how it can keep me so warm in conditions like that but won't let me overheat if I wear the jacket indoors for an extended period of time. Finally, this jacket is super comfortable. Fallen asleep with it on a few nights and slept like a baby. Rough and rugged on the outside, comfortable, warm and cozy on the inside; what more could you want out of a jacket? FYI it fits a little big. I generally wear a size LARGE tshirt and got this in a MEDIUM. The fit is spot on for me.
