Greatly Improves absorption fridge performance
A winner. Installed as exhaust fan to exterior upper fridge vent. So far tested only to 92 degrees. Has held freezer to 0 degrees and fridge to 38 degrees where before we had trouble keeping our refrigerator section to an unsafe 48 degrees during summer heat. On high setting noise from fan negligible. Saved us $$$$ from replacing our 3-way Norcold propane/110v/12v with an inferior 12v only fridge that new RVs are being equiped with. 12v only fridges require either shorepower or expensive upgrades in solar and LiFePro capacity and possibly an inverter. Great for boondocking on propane.Build appears solid with metal frame, ball-bearing fans. Easy installation and excellent wired remote. Worth the investment IMO.

Quality build
This is a nice quality fan, solidly built and quiet running. I installed it in a 1996 Airstream B190 and that vent cap is only 5" so I had to cut the internal chimney for the fridge down a few inches to install the fan at ceiling level, but it worked fine once that was done. The fan is 5.5" and is solid, it was not going to "scrunch down" nor would the cap be bendable. I think it's designed for modern RV vents, and I wouldn't hesitate to install one.

Works great
This fan helps improve air flow in the back of the RV fridge. Seams to help at 90+ outside. This with an inside fan fixed my overheating issue! Easy to install and doesn't add a lot of noise. Should be compatible with all double door fridges.

Good product quality. Nice design. Inadequate instructions.
Nice kit. Fitment and quality appear to be very good. Fan CFM is selectable both manually and by the Auto function. Nice benefit is that the LEDs on the wired remote alert you that the fan is on and if you use the manual speed settings as I am it shows fan settings. I don't believe settings below 80% would be very useful but at 80 to 100% there is a very noticeable cooling velocity and as designed it draws fresh ambient air from outside. I had to turn the fans around since it was shipped with the fans reversed. Most installs will require an automotive electrical wye connector (blue) which you will need to supply, so that you can tap into the supply wires to the frig control board/power supply. I saw about 1.5 amps draw at 100% fan speed setting and am currently doing a test run with frig on highest (coolest) setting. Started the unit with 4 gallon bottles of water in the frig and one in the freezer, and we'll see how long it takes to get to 40F from an ambient afternoon temperature of 85F in the 5th wheel right now. Fan noise inside isn't even noticeable and outside is only enough to tell that the fans are on (even at 100%). FYiI this install is on a 2004 Komfort 5th wheel with a Norcold N-821 RV refrigerator. We also have one of the little battery operated internal Beech Lane fan cubes on the top shelf laying on its side to circulate air onto the fins at the top of the refrigerator. I think it helps but is probably not as effective as the twin 5.5" fans in the exterior vent stack. Great kit and well worth the investment if the install proves to be as effective as claimed by the manufacturer. Instruction are nearly useless with inadequate detail and poor photo quality, so I have rated it as a 4.

Really Effective Solution to Keeping RV Refrigerator Coils Ventilated
This has been a game changer for the Novakool refrigerator on my RV. The all-electric Novakool was struggling to maintain low temperatures on hot days, especially when the sun was beating on the exterior vent grills. I installed the Beech Lane system and now the refrigerator labors less, while cooling levels stay well within acceptable limits. The twin fans are quiet and powerful, yet (by my measurements) draw only 0.05A - 0.65A, depending on fan speed. This is a net improvement in battery drain since the demands on the compressor, which generally draws between 1.5 and 3.0 amps (depending on battery state-of-charge), are reduced. The controller has two modes: "Auto" and "Manual". In "Auto" mode, the system's thermostat and controller do the job of modulating fan speed to meet rising or falling ambient temperatures. Or, in "Manual" mode, any one of six fan speeds can be preset by the user to run indefinitely. I find that "Auto" mode works great with trigger temperature set at either ambient (exterior) mid-day temperature, or 90F, whichever is less. The fans then gradually increase speed as temperature at the sensor rises above the preset level. It's most efficient to mount the fans' thermostatic sensor in close proximity to the refrigerator's condenser coils and the fans themselves on the interior, upper portion of the vent grill, positioned to draw air away from the coils. The controller itself can be mounted anywhere (I mounted mine inside the RV, directly above the refrigerator - see photo). The instructions were clear and I had no trouble installing the system and wiring it up. Very pleased so far, but I'll update this review if anything changes.

Easy setup
Item as described, super quick shipping. The fan seems to be doing its job adequately and it was very easy to install.

Fantastic product, even better support!
This unit is well-designed and incredibly functional. It helps get hot air off of the fridge heat exchanger and I think is a must-have for any hot-weather camping. The fan unit is solid and the controller is easy to connect. I found that it does not need to be at full speed to have what seems to be adequate airflow. Combining this system with an internal coil fan (i.e. inside the fridge to circulate cold air) has really helped keep food colder and make the fridge cool down faster. I can highly recommend this system and this brand! And support is AMAZING. So often I'm underwhelmed by support teams. I had an issue with power (under amperage on the first leads I used) and their team was responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable.I did find that the two-sided tape included with the unit was too thin to attach adequately when placed in the plastic recesses clearly made for it, so find some thicker two-sided adhesive if you plan to put the control panel inside the RV. Also, the unit moves a lot of air, so in dry, dusty climates be prepared to clean the coils and fans regularly to help them operate most efficiently.

Tremendous improvement with excellent customer support!
Performance of this Beech Lane 12v fan system is awesome. My Dometic fridge was losing the battle with its noisy 4-1/2 inch fan in 90° heat. I pulled the fridge to access the fan, thinking I would need to replace it. Turns out the fan was OK but just filthy, and it was noisy because of the solid mounting to the fridge. After cleaning the fan and cooling unit, I put this new fan system in the roof vent to supplement the small stock fan. Made a removable screened fan frame to protect the fans from critters, and maintain the clearance under the vent cap. Added a remote “on-off-auto” switch for the stock fan to use it now as a backup, and a digital temp display for the area behind the fridge with its sensor at the same location as the fan sensors.Tested the system today at 97° outside air temp (OAT). With the fridge at setting 2 (of 5), with the small Dometic fan turned OFF, and the Beech Lane remote at its 90 degree AUTO setting, the fridge inside temp kept at 35°, and the freezer temp at zero with fans barely running! The area behind the fridge stayed around 104. And as the OAT increased, the fan speed gradually increased. Even at MANUAL high speed, I can barely hear these new fans running. Outstanding! To avoid pulling the fridge, I could have just spliced an on-off switch in the red 12v “fan signal” lead from the circuit board to turn the noisy fan off, and use the new fans. I would have done that had I known there was no hope of quieting that fan. But I think I gained some cooling efficiency by cleaning up back there, and improving the baffling to smooth airflow.Beech Lane customer support is absolutely top drawer! They resolved a minor issue immediately, and went above and beyond. It was a pleasure working with them. Pays to shop USA!!

Must have for your rv
I bought this kit based on name brand and information on internet. I found there is a little more work than what the instructions listed but not complicated. The controls are great with the adjustable temperature settings and works as designed. Time will tell how durable the kit is through the years. Highly recommended as it does seem to increase fridge efficiency on those hot days.

it works well
now having the unit working over the last month it has improved lowering fridge temperature,l
